I suggest you get a repair manual for your specific vehicle. They generally give you step by step instructions on how to go about many of the more complex repairs, and can save you hours by pointing out shortcuts and tips, as well as cautions, to avoid costly mistakes. They are available at auto parts stores (where you can purchase a new gasket), and also at some libraries. I hope this is helpful.

How do I know if my head gasget is cracked, or if I need new heads, because my 97 parkavenue is misfiring?

A compression check should give you an indication if there is a problem with the head or head gasket. If you have extremely low pressure on 1 or more cylinders then you probably do. The only way to be sure about a head is to have it pressure tested at a machine shop. A misfire is most likely due to a bad Crank Position Sensor, Cam Position Sensor or Bad Coil Pack not a head issue. If you have water in your oil or oil in your radiator then you most likely have a head problem like a head gasket or possibly a cracked cylinder wall.

Cant get fly wheel bolts off \r\n2001 eclipes

I'd spray spray down with a good penetrating oil, let set for 24 hours or so, then using a hammer hit the bolt on the head (carefull of the fly wheel) then you may want to actually try to ever-so slightly tighten the bolts then go back and try to remove.

I hope this may have assisted,
Tom

Timing chain

If you can fix the Caddy I'm sure you can handle the Mitsu. Go to www.alldatadiy.com and buy a subscription for the Mitsu. All the info you need will be right in there. Or I can scan and email the timing chain replacement procedures to you.

Blown head gasget

Well what you may have to do is replace the gasket.
U have to buy one and then replace it. In order to do that u have to take the heads off. Take the old gasket off. Put your new one where the old one was. And apply some sealant so that it will stay. Once u do that. Just put everything back together. Or u can take the easy way and pay someone to do it. But thats all that i know. Hopefully it helps you with your problem.
