First, download and run the win7 upgrade advisor to see if your pc is suitable.
If it is, go to your local friendly pc shop and buy win7 and install it following the instructions.

Reset windows 7 password hp

Hello,

You may try the below steps to reset or recover the windows login password:

1) Insert either your Windows 7 installation DVD, or a Windows 7 System Repair disc, into your optical drive and then restart your computer. If you have either on a flash drive, that'll work too.

Note: If you don't have original Windows 7 media and never got around to making a system repair disc, don't worry. As long as you have access to any other Windows 7 computer (another in your home or a friend's will work fine), you can burn a system repair disc for free.

2) After your computer boots from the disc or flash drive, click Next on the screen with your language and keyboard choices.

Tip: Don't see this screen or do you see your typical Windows 7 logon screen? Chances are good that your computer booted from your hard drive (like it normally does) instead of from the disc or flash drive you inserted, which is what you want. See the appropriate link in the tip from Step 1 above for help.

3) Click on the Repair your computer link.

Note: If you booted with a system repair disc instead of a Windows 7 installation disc or flash drive, you won't see this link. Just move on to Step 4 below.

4) Wait while your Windows 7 installation is located on your computer.

5) Once your installation is found, take note of the drive letter found in the Locationcolumn. Most Windows 7 installations will show D: but yours may be different.

Note: While in Windows, the drive that Windows 7 is installed on is probably labeled as the C: drive. However, when booting from Windows 7 install or repair media, a hidden drive is available that usually isn't. This drive is given the first available drive letter, probably C:, leaving the next available drive letter, probably D:, for the next drive - the one with Windows 7 installed on it.

Hope this helps..

CanoScan 8000F Installation for Windows 8.1

Unfortunately, the Canon 8000F is not compatible with Windows 8.1. You can find this at http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/compatibility/CompatCenter/ProductViewerWithDefaultFilters?TempOsid=Windows%208.1&Locale=en-us&Architecture=X64&TextSearch=CanoScan%2B8000F&Type=Both&CurrentPage=0&TotalPages=1&ShowCriteria=0&SortCriteria=Relevance&Compatibility=Unknown&LastRequested=14. Canon choose not to write a Windows 8 or 8.1 driver for this scanner. The changes between Windows 7 and 8 mean that the old driver won't work. The compatibility mode doesn't help in this case.

You have two choices: The cheapest option (if you buy a used machine): You can get a second computer with Windows 7 or an older version of Windows installed that does support the Canon 8000F. Alternatively, with a computer with more than 4GB of memory and a CPU that supports can support a virtual OS to buy 1) an upgrade to Windows 8.1 Pro and 2) a Windows 7 license and DVD. (This will cost at around $200 for Windows 7 Home Premium and the upgrade.) Then you can add the Hyper V feature and install Windows 7 as a virtual OS with at least 2 GB of your memory assigned to virtual OS. Install the scanner in that virtual computer.

I hope this helps.

We were using windows xp home,,and i need to upgarde it,,what can u suggest???

It depend about your hardware...
If you have new computer (memory, big HDD, good procesor) Windows 7 is good for it.
Windows XP Home has problem with changing languages and it is limited for some network stuff. Windows XP Professional with all update and with AWG or Avira antivirus (free for home use) can be good enough with old hardware.
If you need safe surfing, Linux Mint (based on Ubuntu and Debian) can be the good choice.

I have want to setup Windows xp and windows 7 together .Meaning when start up computer have : Windows xp Windows 7 I try to setup two windows ,but i setup windows xp lost windows 7 and setup windows 7...

Not sure what you have done so far. You need to divide your hard drive into two sections. Install XP first on to one section. Then use a program to manage your computer start up, the one I use is called Easy BCD this is a free program and works great. Once you cut your hard drive and install XP make a copy of your start up partition. Install the Easy BCD program and make a back up again. Then Install Win 7. Then on the Win7 side install the Easy BDC program and set up the menu choices. I run a 3 way boot with XP and Ubuntu. Hope this helps Fix Ya up.

I would like to have/purchase a step by step instruction manual for the operation of my Dell Inspiron 560 Slim Tower computer. A manual that explains "To do (this) click on (whatever) tab on the...

This sounds more like you're looking for a general "How to Use Windows" guide, rather than something specific to the Dell 560. If you recently purchased this computer, it should have come with Windows 7 pre-installed on it. In this case, I would recommend the "Windows 7 For Dummies" guidebook, which can be purchased either at a local bookstore of your choice (ISBN #0470497432), or through an online retailer like Amazon:

Amazon.com: Windows 7 For Dummies

Good luck, and enjoy your computer; learning the ins-and-outs of a home PC can be a fun and educational experience.

I installed Windows 7 on my computer, my motherboard is Asus A8V-VM-SE. My chipset support cd doesn´t support WIN7, so I actually have no sound.

You can always have choice you know . Now as your ON board Sound card is not working with windows 7 you can buy a Sound card for replacement like of creative and other companies... they would be the best choice at low cost and windows 7 compatible... But before buying it please try updating your driver.

My laptop E625-201G16Mi has windows Vista home basic, which is pre-installed so no disc. I need to wipe it and re-boot it, how can I do this?

One way to wipe out your computer is by Getting a Vista Disk or Operating system of your choice. It has to be a full installation disk. Try WIndows 7!!! I use it its great..When you install a new OS(operating System) it gives you the option to reformat your disk drive which in turn wipe out all your data and give your computer a fresh clean install..first things first..get a Valid Copy of Windows of your choice. I recommend WIndows 7 Professional.

How to set up dual boot for two hard drives?

My freind, you can boot from two hdd inside the same computer. You can only boot from the primary HDD. What you need to do is install both Windows 7 and XP on the primary hdd in different partitions. Then when you boot the system it will give you the option for booting to both XP and 7. You dont even need the secondary hdd unless you are looking to have more storage space.

This will occurs when the Computer did not shut down properly or restart automatically or a dual Operating System installed in the Computer.

To resolve this:

1. Click on Start -> Control Panel -> System.

Or, Click on Start, right click on the My Computer option and select the option Properties.
