Try this advice: If it works, Great!
"Dead" Remotes Can Be Saved How to Re-Start Your "Dead" Remote Control This only takes about a minute and will restart 1 in 3 "Dead" Original Remote Controls. Good Luck!
Step 1- Pull the batteries out of the remote and leave them out until Step 4.
Step 2- Press and release each and every button one at a time on the remote control until every button has been pressed and released at least once!
Step 3- If your remote has slide switches, you must move the switch to each position then repeat the button pushing in Step 2.
(When you're done, be sure to put the slide switch in the correct position to operate the unit the remote came with!)
Step 4- Put the batteries back into the remote, being very careful to install them correctly.
New batteries should be used if you're not sure about the old ones.
Step 5- Try the remote.
If you have a digital camera, camcorder or camera phone you can test the remote to see if it is emitting a signal. Face the remote towards the lens of the digital unit until you can see the front of the remote. Depress any button on the remote. You should see a light (steady, blink or flashing) being emitted from the remote. If you do then the problem might not be the remote but the sensor on the unit.
If not, it's time to call 1-800-Remotes or use this website to order a new remote.
If it works, Great!

SOURCE: I moved into a new
We would be happy to help with that. Please keep in mindthat the code provided will only be compatible with either the 20.0 or 21.0model remotes. The model number of a remote can be found on the back of theremote, close to the top. The first thing we want to do is hold the AUX buttondown until all the mode buttons on the top of the remote light up, thenrelease. Once the AUX button is blinking, press 2 then * then enter 836followed by the pound (#) button. The AUX button should blink 3 times and youshould be able to operate your LG LHB953. Remember to put the remote back in SAT mode after you'redone.
Althoughwe try and facilitate using your DISH remote to control other devices, thiscode may not be compatible with your equipment. Thank you for being a valuedDISH Network customer!

SOURCE: cannot get surround sound to work with Philips hts3106/f7 andonic tcp50g25. It works fine for Blue ray via the hdmi out of philips dvd/receiver, but not for xbox or cable etc (only works in stereo).
i have the same system. all you have to do is when you connect your xbox 360, press the surround button on the remote and then use the arrow buttons to change it to dolby music pro2 or multi channel audio. same goes with any device you connect. hope it helps. In my case the xbox is connected to the Tv via HDMI and bluray player is connected to xbox via compoent cable
