You posted under GE timer, but say you have Legrand, and don't include the model number or type of Legrand timer.
1) The only Legrand timer I have in my files is the RT1 countdown timer
To set RT1, you push one of the buttons, and fan-or-light turns on for a duration of time, then automatically turns off. Use the large button as ordinary light switch.
2) Legrand also makes commercial line of timers, including din rail timers and pin-type timers
3) If this is not your timer, add a comment and include in-focus photo of your timer for possible identification.
