I agree with the other tech, this particular series has an area above the sync rollers that can hide a piece of paper, move the center sensor arm out of the way and see if it's white behind. SC571 doesn't appear to be a valad code, why don't you recheck and make sure it's not something like SC542 or around that number. You also mention an Aficio 200? That machine is obsolete and long gone, we don't even service them anymore.

for the jam code make sure after you have checked that you reset the side door correctly on upper and lower section and that the re is no paper caught behind the paper sensor arm as somtimes if pulled down it can tear and jam the sensor..the 200 might just need the pm counter change or reset..go into the service mode via clear[yellow] 107 then hold down the stop button till the creen changes copier sp and then 7. data log and you can reset the pm there...good luck A
