Check and make sure the filters are clean. Strange noises can occur if they are dirty. It may also be a "dry" fan bushing. At the end of the fan barrel, (Usually the left side) there is a brass bush which can dry out and cause a squeaking noise. Carefully insert the long tube of a WD40 (or similar) oil spray can, into the outside of the fan barrel on the left hand side. NOT when the machine is running.. and give it a light spray, the oil should seep into the bush and quieten it down if that's the problem. To do the job properly however, the indoor unit would need to have the cover taken off and the bushing removed and oiled....

SOURCE: High Pressure cutoff

YOUR OUTDOOR FAN MOTOR SHOULD NEVER SHUT OFF IN THE AC MODE. IT IS SUPPOSED TO SHUT OFF IN THE HEAT MODE WHEN ITS IN DEFROST. IF THE UNIT IS RUNNING IN COOL AND THE OUTSIDE MOTOR QUITS ,THE COMPRESSOR WILL QUIT SOON AFTER. EITHER THE RUN CAPACITOR FOR THE FAN IS BAD OR THE FAN MOTOR ITSELF IS BAD, IF CAP IS GOOD THEN THE MOTOR IS At FAULT. THE OUTDOOR PRESSURE SWITCH CAN ALSO OPEN IF THE INDOOR FAN MOTOR FAILS IN HEAT OR THE FILTER IS PLUM NASTY in heat OR THE INDOOR COIL IS PLUGGED UP in heat.. THE PRESSURE SWITCH USUALLY TRIPS AT 400 TO 425 SO ITS WORKING CORRECTLY. YOU MAY BE CONFUSING THE ISSUE SAYING THAT THE AIR IS HOT AND COLD INSIDE. IT IS COLD WHEN AC IS RUNNING HOT WHEN HEAT PUMP IS RUNNING IN HEAT BUT ESSENTIALLY not cold or hot if compressor isn't running, but a lot of folks describe the lack of cold air as hot when the compressor isnt running. but it basically is warm or house air temp.you test the capacitor with a capacitor tester or take it to motor shop and let them test it. odds are its a 5 , 7.5 or a 10. it should test within 10 % of rated value . ask for a RESCUE brand replacement motor. they are great ,reversable etc.carefully oil and sand the motor shaft and note exactly where the blade was located in relation to the grill so you get it back just the same. usually they wire up black to a leg of 220 power. white to the other leg of 220 power. brown and brown with white stripe to the capacitor.you can also pull whole fan shroud assembly on some units and take whole thing to motor shop and let them test motor cap, replace and all you do is return to unit and connect two power leads,

SOURCE: have a duo therm ac and the low ac and low fan not work -

Thermostat on wall, or manual controls at AC? Did it work for you on low before now? Reason I ask, is that normally they are only a 2 speed fan ( low and high) so if it's a wall thermostat and has been changed from original, perhaps it the way the thermostat is wired.

SOURCE: Electrolux split AC 1.5 ton inside fan working. But

The 2 most common issues are a freon leak or the outside unit fan start capacitor goes out. It's more likely a capacitor issue. They fail regularly, especially when it's hot out. I had a fan capacitor go out on one of my 3 units last year and it cost close to $300 for an AC company to come out and fix it. I watched them fix it and it's something that you can do yourself if you know what you're doing and are careful to hook it up right. I have three AC units and another capacitor went out this year and I found a kit with detailed instructions with pictures and phone support at hvacrepairkits.com. It saved me over $200 on the capacitor replacement.

If you have both heat and ac running that means that the Yellow , AC and the White heat circuits are both being energized with the Red 24 volt hot leg that enters the tstat on the R terminal, note the Auto fan switch between Yellow and Green if Normally closed that is the Auto setting and high speed fan comes on for the Cool mode via the fan relay,
while the Heat speed is low speed and controlled not by the fan relay but the temperature or time delay, you need to determine what speed you have running now, low or high? if you flip the fan switch to ON and it speeds up then it was on low, if it makes no difference you have high sped running already.

Fan mode only, you can control low/med/high speed. In dry mode with low fan, it cut in and off air-con for five minutes frequently.

Case 580 m ac will come on blow cold then the light comes on and it stops blowing cold you can turn ac off for bout 1 min and turn it on it blow cold and kick off light on manual say light eather high...

take a garden hose or somthing with high water pressure and spray out all of radiators in the front of machine. This will clean out all the dust build up between all the rads and will cause your fan to cool the ac fluid as well as the others

Ac runs for a while then stops and operation light flashes

Hello, It depends what refrigerant the system is on but if it tripping out on HP it could be overcharged with gas or a problem with the outside condesor fan.
