This is a tedious task but you can do it without taking anything apart the best think I've found is to go to small engine parts store and get the same size (fuel line) don't let them give you air line . Find a good long pair of tweezers and a bench vise you can bend them enough to be able to get into the fuel tank and connect the fuel line and away you go.

Gas leaks form gas line

It is an old car

You obviously need to remove any rusted out
steel fuel lines or leaking rubber hoses

How you will repair or replace that, will depend
on the parts avail at a dealer

I suspect the old stock is gone & you will need some
fabrication skills

How do I replace the water line going to the water valve assembly

That sounds favourite! Let me know how you get on. Is the tubing you have left long enough? And has it gone brittle? In which case it might be a good idea to replace it at the same time as the valve

It shuts off and the screen on the digital temperature controller flashes 11

Error code 11 is an Ignition failure.
New Install: Check your gas supply and that everything is grounded. Old Install: Check for internal water leaks or if your gas meter/regulator has gone bad (Or the amount of gas in your LP tank). Also check if your earthquake shut-off valve has switched on and shut off all the gas to the house.

Pilot light and heater will not stay lit

If the pilot light won't remain lit after you release pilot button you will need to replace the thermocouple. If you do not know how to do this it is generally a fairly easy job. First locate lines going from gas valve into burner compartment. There should be three, one to pilot light one to main burner and one to thermocouple. The thermocouple line is usually copper color and mounts directly in front of the pilot light. They usually slip into a friction fit holder so you disconnect line from gas valve and pull gently on line to remove. Measure length and get a new thermocouple at most hardware stores. If you can reuse the old holder then install thermocouple by inserting it into holder and seating it as far forwards as it will go. If you damage holder on removal there should be a new one with new thermocouple. Try to center thermocouple in pilot flame. Reconnect to gas valve and light according to instructions. I hope this helps you. Thanks

I have a 31-year old Caloric gas wall oven (Model RWD216) that finally died. I am ready to install a new unit, which means taking out the old Caloric. My question is, how do I unhook the gas line from...

first turn the gas off at the meter/ a oven this old may not have a shut off in the back. then you can remove the oven safely/ the line in back will hook to 1/2in or 3/4 pipe stub. . if you have a shut off in the back turn it off and reconnect new range to it . and if not make shure you put one in .. mm
