Question about Passport 8500 Radar Detector

Service required Several times I have got a message about Self Calibration and then it works after it calibrates. But this morning, after 3 Self Calibrations, I got the Service Required message. What do I need to do?

Most calibrations have to be performed onsite by logging in as the CSE (Customer Service Engineer) or the Administrator. There are several simple calibrations that can be performed by a user but most need you to log in.

On a new unit, the memory spaces for past calibrations are empty. The calibration memory gets filled during early operations and then the error should go away.

How i replace ETB for hp cp4025


Replacing the Transfer Belt (ITB, Transfer Kit) HP Color LaserJet CP4525 CM4530
1. Open the printer's right side door.
2. Use the blue lever (see callout 1 in picture below) to lower the secondary transfer assembly.
3. Grasp the small handles on the transfer belt assembly (circled in blue in picture below), and begin gently pulling the assembly out towards you, until a set of 2 larger handles pop free on the sides of the transfer belt assembly.
4. Now grasp the larger handles on the transfer belt assembly, and continue pulling the transfer belt straight out of the printer until it is completely removed.
5. Avoid touching the surface of the new transfer belt. Install in reverse order, sliding it securely into the machine.
6. After replacing the Transfer Belt, it's a good idea to perform a Full Calibration (or even several Full Calibrations in a row, if you are having print quality issues). Full Calibrations help with print quality by aligning the color tones, the drums, and the color plane. Each Full Calibration takes about 4 minutes. To perform a Full Calibration: Press MENU to enter the menus. Press Down Arrow to highlight CONFIGURE DEVICE. Press Checkmark to select CONFIGURE DEVICE. Press Down Arrow to highlight PRINT QUALITY. Press Checkmark to select PRINT QUALITY. Press Down Arrow to highlight FULL CALIBRATE NOW. Press Checkmark to select FULL CALIBRATE NOW. Wait for the printer to calibrate (usually takes 4 minutes or so), and then print a test page. If print quality still needs improvement, repeat the Calibration. If multiple Calibrations don't help, some of the toner cartridges may need replacement.

High Idle Complaints on 2008 Touring Models
Due to '08 Electronic Throttle Control calibration strategy parameters and throttle gripsensor
variability some customers have experienced intermittent changes in idle RPMs. This
condition is caused by a change in the zero position stored to memory in the ECM, as
determined by the last four readings seen at key OFF. This cannot increase engine speed
while riding but would change the idle RPM, similar to adjusting the throttle stop screwon a
carbureted model.
To correct this condition we will be making several changes to the throttle gripsensor to
reduce voltage variances and also update the way the calibration's strategy looks at and
records these voltages. Completion of these changes and test validation will take several
months.
In the interim we have released revised calibrations in the latest version of Digital Techto
alleviate the high idle concerns for those customers experiencing the condition. The current
software version (1.004.001) and details of the changes can be viewed by selecting the
What's New button on the home screen of DTII. This info is also on h-dnet under:
Service>Tools & Equipment Info>DTII>Version Updates-What's New. The new calibrations
will leave the ECM powered up for 10 seconds after key OFF to complete housekeeping,
allowing the rider more opportunity to release the throttle grip, so the throttle control can
return to true zero before the ECM poweris shutdown. This should eliminate rider induced
zeroing issues. Additionally, the new calibrations will be less sensitive to voltage changes due
to an increased dead-band in the operating strategy. Under certain conditions and riding
styles some customers may notice a slightly different throttle feel, or comment on reduced
engine responsiveness. This is due to the increased dead-band and will feel similar to a loose
throttle cableadjustment on non-ETC vehicles.
Therefore, we recommend only reflashing vehicles for customers experiencing the high idle
concern and wait for the next version calibrations before updating vehicles on a wider scale.
SE Race Tunerand SE Super Tunercalibrations have not been updated at this time, and
reflashing a stock cal over a Tuner cal may only temporarily alleviate the high idle, until you
reflash back to a tuner cal.
It is recommended anytime you replace ECM, TGS or Reflash the calibration to cycle the Ign.
switch 4times, waiting 10 full seconds after keying off between cycles, to relearn zero TGS
position.
The following warranty credit procedures will apply to domestic dealers only:
Warranty credit will be allowed for reflashing the calibration at the usual rate.
For OE calibrations including CVO, file an MC claim using labor code 7804 for 0.2 hours
labor.
For SWR'ed P&A calibrations, file a PNA claim using labor code 8209 for 0.2 hours labor.
Non-registered P&A performance calibrations will require preauthorization for warranty credit.
NOTE: Labor code 8209 is a new code and may need to be downloaded into your system

Touchscreen on a Garmin nuvi 1350 doesn't work


My touchscreen on Garmin nuvi 1390 not working too and .calibration it's help alsoI did twice hard reset my GPS Garmin Nuvi 1390 and nothing happening and after I tried different trick,when I turned GPS off I hold the top left corner screen.The screen exchange for calibrations and I pressed several times according request and my GPS Garmin Nuvi 1390 started work,but repairing company wanna charge me $100 Canadian dollars.I didn't connect GPS to computer

Here is how you get your laser into adjustment modeY axis; Power and scan key at same time, unit then will tip from Y1 to Y2, then recenter. use up and down arrows to bring laser into adjustment. Let unit stabilize for 30 seconds, press scan key, you will get a continuos beep, now at same time press down arrow key. This will store your new calibration.To get X axis into adjustment mode power on and up arrow at same time, and for Z axis type laser onto Z axis and use adjustment procedure for Y axis. Saving your calibrations is the same as in Y axis. Hope this helps you

The printer works OK but it prints two lines clearly but every third is feint almost half the writing is ommitted


Set the print quality to normal or best.
Clean the printhead
Run a calibration.
The Kodak EasyShare AiO performs a calibration every time you install or replace a printhead. However, you can run a calibration if you are seeing changes in the image quality. Calibration aligns the printheads and performs a nozzle health check to enable high-quality prints.
1 Load the main tray or photo tray with photo paper.
IMPORTANT: If you don't have any photo paper, you can use plain paper, but photo paper is highly recommended for calibrations.
2 Press and hold Photo and Cancel together to make a calibration print.
3 Follow the instructions on the calibration print to calibrate the printer.

Touch pad works some of the time....When I get to the accept liability screen, I cannot accpt


Sounds like the touch screen may need calibration. Turn the unit off then turn it back on but hold the power button to the ON position for about a minute. The screen calibration should come up. If this does not work you may have another problem with the touch screen.

Plotter needs recalibration


You need to enter the service calibrations menu, to do this select the set up menu, once inside the set up menu press the up arrow & enter keys together. This will take you to the service tools menu, from here select service calibrations (printhead alignment and colour calibration are both in this menu). If you still here problems after you have calibrated your machine or the calibration fail replace the printheads.

If and when you regain the function of the menu button, you should perform a calibration. It should be done every time you install or replace a printhead. However, you can run a calibration if you are seeing changes in the image quality. Calibration aligns the printheads and performs a nozzle health check to enable high-quality prints.
1 Load the main tray or photo tray with photo paper.  You don't have any photo paper, but it is recommended for calibrations. 2 Press Menu. 3 Scroll down until Calibrate Printer is selected. 4 Press OK. A new screen appears with Print Calibration Page selected. 5 Press Start and follow the instructions on the LCD screen to complete the calibration.
