If you are concerned that you may break the dirt cup we recommend you take your vacuum to a Hoover authorized service center for assistance. The UH70015 comes with a 60 month limited warranty. Follow the link below to locate the nearest service center to you. Service Center Locator
Locate the small hole with the screw inside it directly above the handle, which usually is in line with the blade. Loosen the screw with a flathead screwdriver. Once the screw is loose, gently pull the blade out from the unit .. this works with older Jigsaws for newer ones ,,Locate the release button just above the portal where the blade enters the body of the unit. Depress the button and gently pull the blade out from the unit.
Insert the new blade into the same portal that the old blade was removed from while depressing the release button. Ensure that the new blade is facing the same direction that the old blade faced. Once the blade is fully inserted into the portal, let go of the release button.
The reset button on the Riccar 8955 is located on the back of the vacuum cleaner, at the very bottom, right above the rear wheels. You can push the reset button with a ball point pen or something similar.
There is a re-set button located on the brush head on the left side as viewed if you are standing directly behind the vacuum cleaner. It is black in color and is recessed slightly into the cover of the brush cover. It is round and about the size of the head of a country match and sticks up about 1/2 inch. Just press it to reset. Also, don't forget to press the grey on-off brush switch located beside the red on-off which is located near the top of the handle. Hope this information solves your problem. firstname.lastname@example.org
