No speaker output from Basscube 8s

Yes. Check your connections that you are using from your preamp/processor or receiver to the Basscube to confirm that any adjustments I'll give you instructions for will go to the correct output. There are 2 ways that signal can be connected to the Basscube, your inquiry does not describe which you are using; either speaker level or line level. Line level is the easiest as it uses only one cable so I'll assume that is what you've used.

The following instructions I'll provide you with will presume that you are using a digitally controlled receiver or preamp/processor with an LED or LCD display and remote.

On the preamp/processor or receiver, navigate to your speaker setup menu and adjust the frequency output of any bass management system it may have to a full range signal. This may be a setting labeled for speaker size for example, choose "large." Or, if it has just a crossover setting, increase that to it's highest value.

Then go to the rear panel of your of your Basscube. Adjust the crossover to about 120Hz.

Return to your preamp/processor or receiver. Navigate to your speaker level control on the speaker setup menu. Increase this level to a matching value for each channel until you can hear your Newton speakers.

My HP 10s Scientific calculator does not switch on what could be the problem, is it maby because the calculator was left in a drawer and now the batery ran flat hou can I charge it on the solar power...

You can't charge the calculator off the solar power panel. The solar power panel merely conserves battery power when using the calculator in a bright environment. Try putting in a new battery and see whether the calculator turns on.

Cambridge Soundworks Basscube 12S only makes pulsing buzz noise

Hey! So i fixed my problem! This is for the BassCube 10
Like i said before i saw that the circut board was burnt near the diodes ZD3 & ZD4, and the resistor R63. Thanks to Deadly1 and BillRad62, i figured it out. The R63 is a 1200 resistor, and the diodes are 15v zeners. I went with 3x 5.1v zeners to replace ZD3, unfortunately Rip-Off-Shack (Radioshack) didnt have 3 packs of these so for the ZD4 i put a 12v and 5.1v. Which exceeds 15, but seems to work without a problem. Hope it helps!

Basscube remote knob wire

sloth...

funny seeing this question posted here... I worked at Phoenix Gold for 4 years, and I can help you with your problem.

when the BassCUBE was designed, the engineers didnt realize that a standard phone cable is what we call a "flipped cable", where if you were to lay the cable flat without any twists in it, on one end the connector would be tab up, and the other end would be tab down. on a standard RJ11 plug (the phone plug), the telephone requires that the pinout is as follows:

#1 - Black
#2 - Red
#3 - Green
#4 - Yellow

But the BassCUBE needs a non-flipped cable, which are hard as heck to find... so I will give you the quick easy fix.

You need a 2-line (4-wire) telephone cable that has a black, a red, a green, and a yellow wire in side it, and you will need 4 crimp caps or other way to splice the wires back together. You then need to cut the wire in half, and carefully seperate and strip each wire on each piece of the cable. Call one piece "Part A", and the other piece "Part B". Then you need to splice the cable back together as below.

Part A Part B

Black ------------------> Yellow
Red --------------------> Green
Green -----------------> Red
Yellow ----------------> Black

Once you have done this, and your SURE that your splice is good (not shorted out), then go ahead and plug your modified cable into the BassCUBE and its remote control, power it up, and you should be good to go.
