How do I fix the error 61 remove detective disk

If you mean defective disc, try running chkdsk/f to clear any theoretical errors. Physical errors and not repairable and a replacement hdd is required.

Error code 61

Disk full (Error 61) loadTOCNode(2, 'moreinformation'); Possible causes for this error are:

  • There is not enough room on the disk for the completion of a Print #, Write #, or Close operation.
  • There is not enough room on the disk to create required files.
To work around this situation, move some files to another disk, or delete some files.

try uninstalling a few unnecessary programs to regain some disk space
hope this helps

The POST (power on self test) error pxe e-61 on a laptop means that either the disk controller is faulty or the hard disk is faulty. Please click on this link and follow my instructions to determine the fault and fix :-

Nsm cd wont play

I can't guarantee to solve this but hopefully I can give you some pointers.

ER 61 can point to 1 of 4 possible errors:

1. CD is not recognised
2. No CD in the player
3. CD defective
4. Player defective

When you loaded the CDs did you record the titles into the title memory? If not it is worth running this function first. For sake of time just run this for one disc first to see it is works.

If it still fails then try a different CD. Load the disc detail into memory again first tho.

If you have success with that then run the function for all discs.

Unfortunately if it still fails I think you will need to get a professional to give the player the once over.

Hope this helps.

Non system disk or disk error

This error can be a couple of things. If the "boot block" on the disk has become faulty, the system won't recognize that the disk has an operating system on it and will generate this error message. If the disk is defective completely, the same error will occur. If you have a boot floppy or CD, try re-writing the boot block on the disk. If that fails to resolve the problem, the disk is defective and will need to be replaced.

Error -61

First off, anything LACIE is bottom of the barrel. Don't take it personal, but if i have a nickel for every Lacie D2 drive I've had to recover...oh wait, sometime i got more than what people paid for them to recover what was on them........think about it for a second. Error -61 is a bad master directory block. The drive has a directory, like any book or "volume". It's where the drive stores the information based on the location of content on the drive. Which means your drive will fail soon because it will not be able to retrieve what you are putting on it, because it is internally failing.

defective mechanism,  a stucked mechanism is present. camcorder are smart it can detects error (such as E:61:20) and shuts down itself for safety. earlier models dominoes the defect if the user is not quick enough to react when something goes wrong with the camera. You need professional service to fix it.
