May 16, 2015 - android wont turn on. You turn on your Android phone or tablet by pressing its power button - simple. If that button won't work, your device isn't necessarily broken ... often see an "empty battery" indicator on the screen when you try to turn it on. ... You should only have to hold the Power button down for ten ...
If you haven't done so already, try holding the power button down for a long time (30 seconds+) when you switch it on. If no success, try again but hold down the power button *and* the volume-up button when you switch on.
You will likely have to reset your tablet to it's factory settings using the key sequence.. it'll mean you'll have to re-load your data and programs but you'll have your tablet back. Been there more than once... Oh well.. here's the procedure:
Press both the volume up key and the power button key to turn the tablet off completely. Once it's off, press down the power button and the volume key together. Release the power key and hold the volume up key until the "Factory Reset Menu" appears. It looks kind of like a robot with it's chest hatch open. Use your volume up and down buttons to move the selection to "Factory Reset" and press the power button to select it. The tablet will reset itself and you'll be back to a brand new tablet.
Press and hold the power button for about 20 seconds. You should see some flashing. Let go of the button and watch. It should reset it's memory and come back on. If this does not work then call your tablet's customer service.
