At a last resort you can snip the protector at the base of the cap. This will allow the cap to spin freely. However, the can is now non-child protected.

I have an old orange roper 3.7/18in chain saw.do i premix the gas before i put it in or does the chainsaw mix itself from the oil-chain resivior.

you mix it yourself. Just use a good multi-mix fuel oil that way you don't need the exact ratio as you use as directed on the bottle or package.

How much oil do i add to a qt of gas to get a 50"1 mix?

TWO STROKE ENGINES REQUIRE A OIL TO FUEL MIXTURE TO RUN PROPERLY.THE MIXTURE CHART CAN BE FOUND ON A LOT OF DIFFERENT 2 STROKE OIL CONTAINERS.AND PACKAGING..ALWAYS PREMIX IN A SEPARATE CONTAINER.,SO THAT ITS MIXED WELL BEFORE USE..ITS CRITICAL THAT YOUR PREMIX IS AS CLOSE AS POSSIBLE TO YOUR ENGINES SPECS..BECAUSE IF YOU DON'T YOU WILL HAVE ENGINE FAILURE..AND ALWAYS USE A GOOD TWO STOKE OIL..

How much oil and gas to mix

Julie, if you go to your hardware store or box store, they sell premix containers for the size of your gas can. The mix is 50 to 1, you can run 20 to 1 all the way up to 50 to 1, that is what the premeasured containers will be. You buy the containers for a 1 gallon can, you dump the entire amount of oil in your fuel can, then add 1 gallon of gas. And your done.

Hope this helps.:)

I changed the oil lines and now I need to prime the pump to get oil into the carbeuretor.

There are a couple of ways to approach this. One is to remove the spark plug and turn the engine over several times to purge the air out of the lines. Some people opt to use a little premix, where you mix about a 20 to 1 ratio of two stroke oil and gas. You only need a little, like 8 ounces max, to place in the empty gas tank. You fire the engine up and run it a few minutes on the premix, and then top off the fuel tank with fresh fuel. The premix protects the engine while the oil line purges of air.

What is the corrrect premix ??? in mililitres to one litre of petrol????????? thanks joe

hi joe. the recommended premix is between 45:1 and 50:1. Since one liter of petrol is 1000 milliliteres, that works out to between 20 and 22 milliliters of oil per liter of petrol. Joe

1994 waverunner fouling plugs with oil after just a short time. Can you block the oil pump and just mix the oil and gas. They cant look at this for about four weeks.

Sure, If you want a quick fix just put a vacume cap on the pump inlet and oil tank then your gonna run about just over 3 oz of oil per gallon of gas. (comes out to be about 40:1)

My weed eater wont turn on it keeps turning off as soon as turned on it is really frusterating sorry if i spelled that wrong

Most two stroke engines in weed eaters require a premixed fuel combination of gasoline and two cycle oil. I am assuming you have a gas model which needs a gas and oil mixture. A possible problem is the choke is turned on, and once it starts you need to move the choke to run. Another possible problem is the gas oil mixture is incorrect, and you may need to remix the fuel to the manufactures recommendation.

Need to find the oil to petrol ratio for Husqvarna 132 HBV blower

50:1

50 parts fuel to 1 part oil. The easiest way is to purchase the little premix bottles of Husqvarna oil- one bottle to one gallon of fuel. You can find premix oil bottles at the dealer that sold the blower.
