Have you installed the correct driver for your DVD player? Chances are, your computer is not properly communicating with your computer or your DVD player isn't compatible with your computer. To automate your driver update, you can install Radarsync to your computer.

If updating or installing the driver won'f fix the issue, then I suggest that you contact your DvD player manufacturer and check whether it is compatible with your computer.

SATA devices do not have jumpers to configure as a slave/master.
You connect each SATA device to separate SATA connector on the motherboard.
