A new diaphragm can be fitted into the original driver and the speaker will be like brand new. first you must determine if you have the older RCF version (M44TI) or the newer Mackie versions (0008093). There is only one RCF diaphragm that will work for this repair and they are scarce. There are both authentic and aftermarket Mackie diaphragm options and both work very well.

No HF & weak LF response in a Yahama DXR-15 powered speaker

This unit has a class D switching amplifier which is complex enough to be unfixable by you unless you know what you're doing. It would seem from your diagnostic report (dodgy HF LF response) that you're not in any way a qualified bench tech and all you can do with this item is break it further. My advice - since it's still covered under warranty being that it's rather new, return it for a no cost repair at the store where you bought it.

Kenmore he4t code hf

hf error stands for hot water not being detected, make sure both hot and cold water are open and not reversed. if unit overfilled and flooded garage, the is if with you pressure switch or pressure hose. remove to lid of machine and you will find pressure switch and hose to the right side, inspect hose for any pin holes, if ok, order pressure switch

JBL EON15-G2--Does the HF Amplifer to the driver have any voltage?

The 2 leads that come off the HF driver are different sizes...you should only be able to hook them up one way. Takes the guess work out of it for ya.

Assuming there is nothing wrong with the speaker, hooking up the 2418H HF driver to it should do the trick. However, I blew my HF driver a few months ago and bought a new one, only to blow it immediately. This was because the motherboard of the JBL EON G2 had actually failed and caused the HF driver to fail. Once I replaced the motherboard and the HF driver (again) everything was back to sounding great. Hope that helps.

Blown Compression Drivers

This unit features 2 -10" passive speakers and HF horn/driver. If you are blowing the HF driver, the problem is with overdriving the high range of EQ. At sustained high volumes, the voice coil of HF driver will overheat and open. If you still have effective warranty, ask Yamaha to replace drivers. Fixed,-- back off higher frequencies of EQ, turn down volume.

Bi amp

Hi there, I am assuming that you wish to BiWire the speakers. This involves removing the link on the back of the speaker box and running additional speaker leads for the HF drivers, as well as cable for the LF drivers. BiWiring allows you to use different cable that has been designed with high frequency signal path in mind. It may feature things like silver plating, low capacitance, or as many other "features" as can be tagged to the cable to sell it as a specialist HF conductor. The benefits may be subtle, and not be that noticeable. It does isolate the potential voltage drop along the length of the cable associated with LF energy away from the HF side of the speaker system, and take advantage of Skin Effect, where HF energy tends to travel on the surface of the conductor.
Using a single cable for each channel and leaving the links fitted is perfectly fine and will operate no worries. You could go and spend the extra cash and upgrade your cables to HF and LF BiWire.... the sky is the limit on cost here for what may not be a noticeable difference:)
BiAmping in a different story where much more performance increase is achieved by using a separate channel to amplify HF and LF signals. But you need an amp that has a built HF and LF outputs for each channel to do this. They exists but I have not seen any surround amps that have it.
Go with decent quality realistically priced speaker cable first, then add your HF BiWire to the rig if you are looking for that little bit extra from it:) Good luck, and happy listening.

regards
Graeme

Will not power up

your problem is in flyback or high voltage section failure.

  • check horizontal output transistor
  • check fly back transformer.
  • check for supply to horizontal section as high voltage from power supply may create such problem
  • as this failure is due high voltage section so it is better to take skilled technician help.
  • good luck.
