Check your command code settings, one under the battery & one on the back of the unit. Try setting each on a different number. Be patient!

You should not have to reprogram the remote. The programming is stored in Non-volatile ram.

Our keyless remote stoped working on our 2007 chevy impala. we put a new battery in and proceded to reprogram it according to directions, it still will not work. is it that we just need a new remote or...

If your vehicle accepted the programming codes, then it tells me that your vehicle sensing is working and that your remote worked at least during that period.

Whenever, you change batteries in a remote you should clean the battery and remote contacts with a pencil eraser to get rid of an corrosion.

Remote quit working, put new batteries in it. I believe it needs to be reprogramed. need code. Thanks

The manufacturers remote needs no code. It will default to the Akai.

if you are using a universal remote or cable or satelite remote you will need to contact that company for the code.
Once you find the code, the best practice is to write it on a piece of masking tape and stick to the inside of the battery compartment door of the remote...that way, everytime you change batteries- presto! theres your code!

Hi,

It's unlikely that you need a new remote. It simply needs to be reprogrammed with the correct code again. Remotes can "forget" the programmed codes if the batteries run down completely or if the new batteries aren't inserted quickly enough.

Reprogram the codes and it should work.

Please post back if you need further assistance.

Chamberlain Whisper drive remote control unit not working

THE NEW REMOTE MAY NOT BE THE CORRECT SYSTEM FOR THE UNIT YOU HAVE.
THE ONE THAT DOESN'T WORK MOST LIKELY NEEDS A NEW BATTERY.
NOTE IT MUST BE REPROGRAMED AFTER CHANGING THE BATTERY

HOPE THIS HELPS

My battery died after recharging it the alarm buttom needs to be reset. I need to know where the reset buttom is

HI ! I haven' t researched your car for you just yet !

I thought Id quickly mention the common method for reprogramming your alarm & remote, If you still require assistance then just ask me and I will find more about your car :)

Common Methods for resetting/re-learning code

  • Factory Fitted Alarms/ Central Locking / remote comes on ignition key.

Insert ignition key , turn key to accessories / red , press & hold lock/unlock for a few secs.remove key, exit vehicle and try un/lock doors &/or alarm (Some models differ slightly & require engine on or manual use of door locks whilst resetting.

  • Aftermarket /Non-Factory / remote is separately operated
Most use a small back-up battery usually located within the loudspeaker/Alarm unit itself under the bonnet,
Remove this battery for a short period to reset the remote code

The access panel for the backup battery is never in an obvious place. look carefully :)
