These appliance work with a thermostat that is when ever they reach a certain temperature they do cut off power automatically..If you find that ice is melting then you need to start worry.By the way the fat gas bottle is an air compressor which helps to circulate the gas around the system...It's like the heart of the fridge.

Fridge freezer problem

Sounds like the defrost system of your freezer is not working. It could be either the defrost timer, defrost thermostat or the heater has a problem. The defrost timer turns off the compressor periodically to sent power to the defrost heater via the thermostat. The defrost heater then powers up and heats the evaporator coil to melt the accumulated ice buildup on the cold coils. Most likely issues are that the timer motor is not advancing the timer or the heater itself has burned out.

My 40 l does not wan to keep stuff cold teh motor kicks in only mometarily, can it be in need of a gas refill and does it ide normal aircon gas? It can get cold by itself but if you stick it with drinks...

If The motor is switching on for short periods, you either have a faulty compressor or a blockage. My money is on a blockage. Once cover is removed to allow you to see the compressor, look for a small fat copper tube that has a small 1/4 inch copper pipe on one side and a thin capillary tube connected on the other side DRIER). Flex this very thin pipe connected to the small fat tube(DRIER) untill it breaks.Gas will come out. Wait untill all gas is out then reswitch on and see if compressor still continues to switch off on short intervals. If it can run for at least 1 min without switching off, then get a Refr.Tech to come and replace drier and regas unit.

I have a beko fridge freezer. I had an error code

I got the answer myself and thought I would share it.
The E4 code means that the auto defrost is not working. Call beko and tell them the code and they will tell you what part it is. I think the part number is 421445. It is a little black tube with two wires comming out. The part costs about £10. To fit the part you have to go into the feezer side of the fridge and carefully remove the white plastic at the back which is held with clips and one screw. To find where the part goes look for a long white fatish wire. The black fuse or thermostate is hidden in that. You will see where the wires go when you remove the old one. It is easy to do. Once you replace the part the error light will still be on but will go out after the fridge is back to being cold. Don't forget to replace the inside of the freezer when done! Hope this helps. John

BEKO Frost free freezer not as cold as it should be!

Sorry I don't have a solution for you, however would like to know if you found out what was wrong. I have an identical problem with my Beko fridge/freezer. It's only 14 months old and the freezer just wont freeze. I've turn it off for 24 hour and let it defrost completely (even had the panel off to make sure there was no ice left). I've turned it back on again and it still wont freeze. Everything seems ok, ie fan blowing, motor running etc. I really am beginning to regret buying Beko. thanks

Bought a chescold finch 3 way fridge but no instructions - help

The max/min gas flame is for adjustment of temperature when using the fridge on gas. The next one with 0 to 7 is possibly the electrical thermostat. I am not familiar with this exact model. One of the dials will be able to be pressed in. The idea is to press and hold this button in for about a count of five, then push the lighter strike. You will hear a click noise which is when a spark is delivered to the burner area. Some fridges have a small window or guage which shows if the flame has lit. You may have to look down the chimney. You keep holding the press button down after having depressed the lighter strike button for about five seconds. This allows gas to flow to the burner while the thermocouple heats up. Once the thermocouple (which is a small copper probe sticking almost into the flame) heats up, it will keep the gas valve open and if you then release the button, the flame will continue burning. The idea is that if the flame were to blow out, the thermocouple would cool and in turn act as a safety by shutting off the gas supply. Hope this is enough info.

My Bosch frostfree fridge freezer keeps icing up!

My Bosch Frost Free Fridge Freezer did the same thing - Ice forming in the bottom of the freezer area after a few days.

It was caused by a blocked drain pipe - When the freezer does the de-frosting cycle, the melted ice drips into a tray and tehn runs into a dish on top of teh compressor, through a pipe.

If this pipe gets blocked, the de frosted ice overflows from the tray and overflows into the bottom of the freezer and then re-freezes !

To fix, pull the freezer away form the wall, locate the pipe that runs to the dish on top of the compressor and blow through it - This should clear it. Alternatively, from inside the freezer compartment, pull off the cover at the back, but the clips holding it on will probably break off, as mine did ! You can sort of push the cover back on and re-fit the food draws.
