Hi every one, refilling a catiradge does not need specialist, but it needs carfullness, all y have to do is the following:1-take out the cateridge and remove the label paper sticker ,a hole can be seen.2- bring a medical injection needle, fill it up to 3cc and then inject it slowly into the cateridge then close the hole tightly(so as not to leak during printing).3-clean the cateridge place with a soft tissue untill there will be no more color in the spongy place.4- place the cateridge then connect to your computer and plague in,some times the cateridge indicater blub indicates that there is no cateridge, just open the cover ,take the cateridge out in place it again ,or there is a triangle buttom indicator with yellow color.hold the botom for ten seconds.it restarts and works normally,PS:the cateridge show that there is no ink in the cateridge.it is ok ,just use it and later (after a month refill it)this depends on the useing of the printer. Hoooooope it works .

Hi,
I suggest if someone is not specialized in refilling ink in an empty cartridge, to get an specialist to the job that they do best to save you time/effort/money.
The cartridge has sensitive pins that the printer detects to determine the amount of ink inside the cartridge; other than this the ink may not have been flowing to the printing mechanism correctly indicating a low level. Try running printer maintenance procedure and replace the cartridge. If the printer indicates a low level, you may need to get a new printer cartridge.
Good luck.

SOURCE: Refilling Ink in Canon Pixma MP830

Hello, I found this in a repair manual for the MP830. summery is to press and hold the stop/reset button for 5 or more seconds. I copied the info from the manual too. The remaining ink amount unknown. [1683] (Applicable ink tank icon) The remaining level of the following ink cannot be correctly detected. An ink tank which has once been empty is installed. Replace the applicable ink tank with a new one. Printing with a once-empty or refilled ink tank can damage the print head. If printing is continued without replacing the refilled ink tank, press the Stop/Reset button for 5 sec. or longer to record the use of a refilled ink tank. Note: After the above operation, the function to detect the remaining ink amount is disabled.

SOURCE: Canon ip1980 after refill, status monitor still shows ink at low

This is a common problem with compatible cartridges where the chip on the cartridge is faulty, missing or is not making contact correctly with the printer cartridge connectors. The first thing to do is make sure that the plastic seal has been removed from the chip and that it is free of any residual adhesive etc. You can clean this with a cotton bud soaked in isopropyl alcohol or VCR tape head cleaner. DO NOT USE SURGICAL SPIRIT or any other cleanser as this will either leave a residue itself or damage the plastics and rubbers in the printer.

Once cleaned reinsert the cartridge and try again. If this is still unsuccessful the best solution is to return the cartridges to the vendor where you bought them and get another brand of cartridges or use genuine original cartridges. When you find a reliable manufacturer of cartridges, stay with them. Don’t forget to clean the print head and realign & recalibrate the printer at every cartridge change for optimum results. Also make sure that you use high quality paper for the best images results.

SOURCE: How to Override Ink Level Gauge

I have to ask this question of you, just to make sure this is not an issue. Are you using a factory new ink or toner cartridge?
Please consider the following:
If you are using a refilled (the absolute worst possible choice) or third party cartridges (2nd. Worst possible choice) that may well be your problem. Most manufacturers build logic into their products to prevent the use of “Other Equipment Manufactured” cartridges as well as re-filled cartridges.
They do this to prevent problems from contaminated inks or toner causing problems with print quality or damaging the physical printhead or photo conductors.
If you are using factory new ink or toner cartridges, then please call the manufacturer’s Technical Support for assistance with the warranty on the cartridges

SOURCE: Canon ip2700 after refill of

For your ip2700, even if you reset your refilled cartridge, they are not going to be usable.
After 4~5 times of color refill, you will see e5 error that cartridge is not readable anymore.

So you need to replace your cartridge with new one somehow.

If you would like to save money, try refill kit by "ROADINK".
Not only they are easy, but also the printing quality is good.
For your better understanding pls check out my youtube video.
And will see how easy ink refill can be done.

When i refill toner it still show toner low.how sovle the problem

Good day.
First try to print a print status report. Here are the steps:
1.Push setup menu button, that would be the wrench icon. 2.Push the right button to navigate until you get to the Tools Menu 3.Tools Menu>Push button for Printer Status Report
This will give you the accurate ink levels on your printer. If it still shows low ink based on the printer status report, you have to reseat the ink cartridge and make sure the orange tape near the HP Logo on the ink cartridge has been peeled off.
If the report shows ink levels are fine, then that status report on the front panel is just a false report. Try powering off your printer and powering it back on again. As long as you don't have print quality issues, you should be fine.

We have a Dell 944 showing Error 1102 consult user guide...cannot find the user guide. We just replaced color ink cartridge with a re-processed one ordered online. Please advise...many thanks!.

Hi there
Dell Printer 944 error message 1102
Please unplug the printer from the wall. Now remove the power brick from the back of the printer for 60 seconds. Now plug everything back in. This will reset any error messages the printer has. Now open the printer with the power on and the cartridges should go to the center to be replaced. Take out both Dell Series 5 ink cartridges and make sure the tape is off the cartridges and insert both back in and make sure the seat properly and latch. Close the printer and it should print an alignment page. If you still get the error message

Why does my Dell ink cartridge level still show up as "low ink" after refilling them?
Dell ink cartridges have a sensor that reports the ink level as low once it reaches a certain level. The sensor can not
be reset. If you refill an ink cartridge that previously reported low ink, it may print fine, but the sensor will always
report low ink. Buying or replacing ink cartridges with new Dell cartridges will resolve the low ink message.

Dell discourages ink refills. Refilling ink may lead to print quality problems, and even eventual hardware problems.
This post is in no way a validation of refilling ink cartridges.

Why my printer is reporting “low ink" after using refilled/remanufactured ink cartridges?
Most ink cartridges have sensors that report the ink level. The “Low Ink” is usually the last sensor (fuse) before
running out of ink.

Since the sensors are fuses that open when the ink level drops, they cannot be reset. If you are using refill or
remanufactured ink cartridges, the best thing to do is to disable “ink alerts” on the printer’s software so you don’t keep
getting “low ink” messages.

To disable “Ink Alerts” on Dell inkjet printers:
1. Open the Dell printer software (All-In One Center, Tool Box, etc)
2. Go to Settings
3. Advanced
4. More Options
5. In the “Appearance Mode, window, check “Never display the Printing Status window” and “Display the low
ink alert only when the cartridges are almost empty.
Please come back and just gave a vote, it will gave me some satisfaction to know am helping some one so I will keep on helping.

With new cartridge indicates low ink level,

The ink level gauge may not work properly with refilled cartridges. Because of this, you might get low ink message after refilling. To install the refilled cartridge you might need to override the ink level gauge. Overriding the ink level gauge disables the printer’s ink level tracking feature, but allows you to use refilled cartridges. To override the ink level gauge, please check your printer reference guide. After disabling the ink level tracking feature you should check the ink level visually and as soon as the ink level gets low you need to refill the cartridge. You do not want to try to print with an empty cartridge. Trying to print with an empty cartridge may damage your print-heads.

otherwise you will have to replace the cartridge .

How to Override Ink Level Gauge When Using Refilled Cartridges

Above link great.
If you have a newer print cartridge cart, look for the little window. I put a sticker over the little window on the Brother (innobella) LC38 cartridge cart and it worked great :)
Despite finding a fix for this problem, I think this is a rip off setting on the brother printers and I will never buy another Brother printer for this reason.

Out of toner........ but not really.....

Print a Supplies Status page to see the actual pages printed...

To print the Supplies Status page from the printer, on the printer control panel, select
Reports Menu, Supplies Status, and then Print Supplies Status page.

If the page count from the Supplies Status page indicates that the toner should not be in need of replacement then you have a bad cartridge. Actually, the cartridge is probably fine but the chip on the cartridge has got a problem. Return the cartridge to O.D. and get another one. Unfortunately, chips that don't work properly in not all that unusual so HP has a pretty easy return policy.

Hope this helps.

  4. Press RESUME twice
  5. Release POWER button
  6. When the indicator lights steady, press RESUME three(3) times. The indicator should be orange.
  7. Press POWER to set data
