SOURCE: how do I get google search to be my default search

Since you're using IE7, please click on TOOLS which can be found at the top left part of your screen, select INTERNET OPTIONS, then you will see a small screen pop up, make sure you're on the GENERAL tab. Under this tab, look for HOME PAGE, underneath it, there's a box where you can set your default home page. Please type in then click on APPLY then OK on the lower part of the screen. Please take note that in case you optimized or reset your IE7, all settings will be back to default.

Remove genieo from mac

Genieo is a search engine program that will change your personal and default browser settings upon installation. Genieo is not usually considered a virus or malware program (although 21 security solutions list the Mac version as adware), but uses the keywords you enter into the Genieo search engine to generate an excessive number of sponsored links and ads mixed in with your search results. Follow the steps outlined in this article to delete the Genieo search program from your computer and all installed browsers.

Please visit and read it.

Google & GENIEO

Change the settings when you open Google. Genieo replaced the normal Google startup settings when you allowed a program to install on the device. Go to the square icon with three bars on it, Clcik on the Icon and go to settings. There you make changes.

Shut down Safari and Firefox. Open your Home folder (the house with your name on it) Locate the Library folder. Locate the Preferences folder.locate the and bin it. Empty the trash. Relaunch Safari and the sewarch engine option should be blank. That's the theory anyway.
