Question about Dryers
Our hunter Douglas ceiling fan/ light was installed fall of 2012. A light bulb burned out. Now the light doesn't work at all but the fan does. No remote, just a wall switch. Any suggestions?
New fans come equipped with limiters built into the control cup. This is to prevent overloading of the sockets. Most light kits come with 40 watt bulbs these days so if you have replaced even one burned out bulb with anything higher than a 40 watt bulb the limiter will kick in and shut off your light. Also try switching to a 130 volt 40 watt candleabra bulb as opposed to the 120 volt, sometimes this helps.
