Question about Canon PIXMA iP90v Printer
After warming up, the green light alternates with the orange light, then nothing. I have tried removing the power cord in the off position. Then, repulsing in and turning on. No solution. Help!
The sequence that the lights flash is how the error codes are given. Please count the sequence of flashes and re-post

Testimonial: "The sequence of lights is one green, two amber; one green, two amber, etc."

Hi taximom, Is the light alternating back and forth between green and orange (GR OR GR OR GR OR GR)? Or is there a pattern like (GR OR OR OR GR OR OR OR GR) or (GR OR OR OR OR OR OR OR OR GR OR OR OR OR OR OR OR OR GR) If it the first case (alternate back and forth) then I hate to be the bearer of bad news but it needs service. (and it's probably not worth fixing) If there is a pattern to the blinking let me know exactly how many times it goes orange and I can tell you what to do from there. The Dude

SOURCE: error code 5010
Yes, same thing happens to me...Error code 5010...and flashing green and orange...alternating lights.
I was trying to photocopy (in basic black, not colour). I had a few pages to copy. I got this 5010 Error code after EACH copy!
I had to turn off the printer after each copy and then turn it back on for the next copy. That's not the worse of it.....once I turned the printer back on and hit copy again...the printer took a VERY long time to scan the item for the next copy. It took me a good 40 minutes to copy 15 pages.
Anyone know what to do?
I've also had the paper jam on me tons of times. I am really disappointed with this product. I would not recommend this printer to anyone!

If you type in 'flashing power light' in the problem box, for 5 you get print head failure, often it means the connectors between cartridge and print carriage are dirty, can be cleaned with a pencil eraser and a soft cloth. there is a sequence of checks and repairs to follow on the canon service page
