Question about Orange G1600 Series Emergency Showers

1 Answer

Triton Leona shower - when it is first turned on the water runs cold, as soon as the hot water begins to flow thru the shower trickles and then 1/2 wat thru the shower the cold water bursts into action and then goes again. This is not our water pressure as I have checked it. Could it be a faulty thermostat ? Ignore your product sellection as it does not come up with showers so I picked anything !

The hot water does have pressure, but what you say does sound like the problem. If I turn the sink tap on the hot water pressure is OK so don't understand why this woul dnot be the same in the shower. Could there be a faulty valve in the shower that is causing this?

I your hot water in the bathroom have lots of presure.  I think there is something wrong with the hot side of the shower.  you have a thing it the valve called pressure balance and when the hot does not have pressure it will slow down the cold every time you start to us the hot side you will lose.  is this what is going on diden't fully understaind.

Yes the hot side could be pluged with something . or cartridge has somthing in it. if the shower is new solder could have got into the valve. you need to make sure the water is turned off the the house and take it apart.

Triton shower faults

If its a trickle occasionally its normal, when you turn off shower the water is still in pipe right up to shower head, it cools down, contracts and backs away from the head, when house gets warmer water expands up to the shower head and trickles out.

Could be the pressure on the hot water flow is insufficient, you really need a 5/6 feet head of water from the shower head to the bottom of the storage tank for sufficient pressure.

Not enough hot water, has to do with a shower valve

Hello, first if any water supply hot or cold is turned off, you will experience trickling as you mention. You must have both cold and hot in order to adjust the temperature on your valve. if you had a plumber intall this unit you should ask him to adjust it. Otherwise here is how:
Rotate the handle counterclockwise to stop and let water run till cold water is purged, check
temperature. Rotate handle to off, remove handle parts (see Disassembly in your manual) and temperature limit stop, rotate clockwise to decrease and counterclockwise to increase maximum hot water temperature, reinstall temperature limit stop and handle (TIP: Do not screw handle in until desired maximum temperature is achieved) Repeat steps until desired maximum
temperature is achieved

Cold water suply filling up header tank in loft thru hot water suply on shower.

hi did you run a seperate cold water supply from the storage tank to the shower pump & also a seperate hot supply from the hot water cylinder, it sounds as though the cold water is crossing into the hot service & pushing its way up to the tank as its the only way it can go, sounds as though the cold water connection to the shower is not tank fed & possibly directly off the water main.?

Automatic Trickle Questions

o you multitask while you wait for the shower to get hot? Brush your teeth? Make the bed? Maybe even pick out your clothes or iron a collar? Many of us do—and don’t know that while we’re feeding the dog or grabbing that second cup of coffee, two-and-a-half gallons of hot water per minute are funneling down the drain. The automatic trickle reduces the flow of the water as soon as it reaches a comfortable 95 degrees. This way your hot water is no longer running down the drain while you’re away from the shower. The automatic trickle allows your showerhead to warm your shower without wasting hot water and tell you (hear) the when your shower is ready. Evolve is the leading manufacturer of this kind of products.
