Titan N-120 is flipping the breaker after about 1 minute.

Just hooked up the tankless water heater. It runs for about a minute and then trips the breaker. We put in the double pole 60 breaker, are using 6/2 wire, and checked that it's 220 at the breaker box and at the unit. I have also hit the reset button and nothing. The tech support guy said "It's definitely not the unit" so that was not helpful. What else can I do?

I just love it when tech support says "It is definitely not the unit"... like nothing of theirs ever fails. That said, it is unlikely their unit is the problem. It could be a bad breaker. I have had breakers fail that were brand new. Before you install a new breaker, always switch it on and off a few times. Is there another 60 amp breaker in the box that you could temporarily use to see if the breaker is the problem? If not, I would try a new one. I hope this helps you find the problem.

Thank you for your help! I went right out and just bought another breaker. While my husband was hooking it up, I thought I decided to nose around inside yet again. We hooked our wire up to the pigtail that came on it and it turned out the ground on the pigtail wasn't all the way in! Had I not voided my warranty and looked inside I might have smashed the whole thing lol. So we put the new breaker in, moved the ground up, and 4 days later I can take a shower again! Thanks again!

Check the breaker first. You don't mention a model number, but some has a Reset as shown in the second video.

Titian scr2 keeps tripping breaker

For the breaker to trip there must be a fault. The breaker is probably saving you from being electrocuted when using the water. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO BYPASS THE BREAKER. Call a QUALIFIED TECHNICIAN.

Titan SCR4 tankless water heater. Breaker on water heater itself keeps kicking. Not in breaker box. I have 2 double breakers, 50 amps each in box, no problem there. On the water heater there are 2...

Breaker trips when heat on wire exceeds amp rating, or when breaker is bad.
Most breaker are slow acting, and do not trip immediately.
Shorted elect could cause problem.

Thermostat sticking titan n180

The thermostat is there to protect the water heater. I don't think it can overheat and make the breaker trip. If you tried to reset the unit and it's still not working, you should send your Titan N180 back to the manufacturer to be repaired. The 10 year warranty if against leaks. You have 1 warranty in your Titan components.

After installing my titan N100 the breaker keeps tripping went from 50 amp breaker to 60 and still keeps tripping how do Isolve this problem?

You had an instant heater there before? Or a different type? Your breaker numbers don't mean anything to me, I need amps and volts, what is the amp? 30? and the volt is 220? Or are you in Europe?. And you had the four wires in there before? And you have all 4 wires on the heater line? And the heater is grounded? It should work. Unless it is not getting enough juice, but you already upped the amp. Let me know what you got.

Titan Tankless stopped working this morning.

I have the Titan SCR2 N-120. You may have a different model. On mine if you are looking at it just a inch below & 1 inch to the left of dead center will be a round black sticker(it has some white lines at&t's logo). there's a pin hole in the middle of the sticker that you can poke to reset. Or turn the breaker off then take the 2 screws out of the top of the unit. It's just a thin metal cover that you can pull back & look inside. You'll see a red circular button thats the reset button. It's right behind where the hole I was talking about & what gets pushed in. you'll also be able to see if anything burned out & can get replacement parts at titanheater.com . One of my heater elements had burn/ melted & I've ordered a replacement. It was $17 + $11 s&h but still cheaper than $200 new unit from e b a y. Best of Luck
