Question about Televison & Video
I have tried several different antennas with my sony bravia kdl- 46v 2500 and each time I do this can I only get two channels. The same thing happens when moving attenna in all different positions. Place attennas on other TVs in the house and get over 30 channels. Now I think there must be something wrong with the TV please help me.
If you've tried different antennas did you attempt to re-tune/re-scan for additional channels after switching? For digital channels to be detected they must be scanned for, so consult your manual on how to perform an automatic scan of the digital channels available in your area.

Testimonial: "Yes I rescanned after each position change and each attenna. Also mentioned hefore that the attennas work great on other tvs. The one that both attennas worked on is in an inner room that is cinder blocked. The tv that none of the attennas worked on is on a regular wall on main floor next to very large window."
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

Hi buck lite,
Your cable company is telling the truth, you have digital cable. When auto scanned for digital channels the tv is lookig for OTR(over the air) signals. These are broadcast signals you will need an antenna to receive. Depending where you are and the type of antenna you use you probably could pick up some digital channels. Let me know if this helps and please rate this solution. Lone99star

To wayne: The balancer board is in fact available by itself. You can get it at many different parts depots here on the web. I just suffered from a similar problem, on the same tv and it solved my problem perfectly (Stupid 13 blink, blink code...)
The searchable part number is SSB400WA20. Its referred to as a voltage inverter (for the backlight of the lcd panel.)

signal booster, different tuners require different signal powers, by splitting the feed you've effectively halved the signal strength, a booster should bring it back,
