The wire may have stretched and separated inside the insulation so you can't see it. Use a multimeter to test for open wiring.

How do i fix my lap top sound

Waht's wrong with the sound??? No sound, it could be the soundcard driver or the sound volume control is set to mute, look for an speaker icon on the right lower corner, double click on and see if the volume is set to mute or lowered all the way down, bring it up and see if you hear any sound, if not then your sound card driver might damaged.

Nexxtech 2.1 multimedia speakers not working on youtube

sounds like your utube player is muted. do you see a little speaker symbol near the bottom of the window with a little x beside it? if so, just left click on it and you should have sound. you might also have to move the slider just to the right of it over to the right. just left click and drag to the right.

did this help?

Volume from TV and Cordless headset, only want it in headset

Cordless phones are often of the infra red type and can be connected directly to the AV line out sockets (rca or scart, left/right audio out) on your TV or VCR. Since the audio is taken off prior to the TV sets volume control it is at a fixed output level. You can then turn down or mute the volume on your TV without affecting your phones sound level.

Dropped speaker now has lots of static

the driver inside needs to replaced as the magnet broke or the driver got bent..it may be cheaper to order a new speaker complete from them.

Popping noise while computer is powering down. Any suggestions?

Hi,
Lower your main sound volume. Double click the speaker icon in the bottom right hand corner of your windows.(was it maxed out?)

go into control panel /sounds and select a lower bass setting in your sound settings. You usually have a choice of rock & roll ( lots of bass) opera setting, classical etc.. choose one with less bass.

Make sure your LINE IN is DISABLED. It may be causing this static feedback.

You may have blown your speakers by playing sound way too loud. You may need to buy new speakers.

Thank you and Good luck. *s*
