SOURCE: I keep getting a printhead error....

Check the wiring assemble connecting the printhead to the printer and where the wiring connects to the printer. Anything loose here would prevent the unit from correctly reading the sensors on the printhead. Just a thought.

SOURCE: Printhead (R), Check Printhead - Canon IPF5000

first of all print a nozzlle check....then see all the color patterns.
The second you can do is to update the firmware to the latest version.
But i think that you have to replace the print head.

SOURCE: Canon MP730 not printing. Printhead cleaning doesn't help.

You may need new print heads. They are around $50. Or, you could do this: Take the print head out of the printer, and run warm water from the tap (not high pressure), over the ports for about 5 minutes. Ink will drop out of the jets. Dont touch the electrical contact end of this head. This may clean the head enough so it works again. If not you need a new print head.

SOURCE: Display shows "check printhead"

Hello Neil, If the quality of print is fine then i dont think there is a problem with your printer head. It must be some error with the software or some other part in ur printer. Do check the printer for some other faults.

Replaced ink cartridge, but still won't print. HP C5180

There is a chip inside the cartridge, sometimes printer firmware failed to detect the chip from compatible cartridge (not the original one).
If you bought the original cartridge, u can ask for a guarantee to the seller.
Otherwise you can try "Printer Reseter Software" according to your printer model, you can find in the web

Canon ipf 8000 Error Code E161-403F

I have had two of my Canon plotters give this error.message, I had to manually move the carriage unit and replace the printhead. On one of the plotters the error message returned, on the second plotter I was able to go into service mode where it asked me to replace the printhead. I just went though the motions since the printhead was brand new and I was able to get the plotter to function correctly.
