You may have broken the plastic clip that holds it steady. you can either take it apart and try to repair it. i had a toshiba that i had to remove the cover and fabricate a holder to keep it from pushing in when i plug the charger to it.

Just opened my ion block rocker box and got the unit out and tried to charge it. It won't charge and the charge light only lights for about 20 seconds and turns off. It won;t operate unless plugged in and...

Just repaired my Job Rocker !! Just like most everyone here mine worked fine but would not charge. This may be how to fix yours.

Follow the red wire up from the battery to the circuit board and carefully try to disconnect it from the circuit board. Odds are the male spade connector will come off the circuit board. That's because it never got hot enough for the solder to actually stick to it when it was assembled at the factory. With time, the expansion and contraction from the heating and cooling of the circuit board causes this poor connection and prevents electricity from getting to the battery.

Remove the male connector from the female part using plies (this was difficult and required wiggling the connectors back and forth while pulling hard - and I'm not sure if it is absolutely necessary ).Clean the two prongs on the male connector with some fine sandpaper or an emery board and put some solder flux on them. (If you are unsure how to solder watch a few videos on Youtube or get help from someone who can) Heat the prongs up with a soldering gun or iron and coat them with some solder. Carefully remove the circuit board (by removing 4 screws) from the plastic panel to which it is attached. Then insert the male connector back on the circuit board while heating up the solder on the back side causing the connector to properly solder to the board.

Carefully plug your female spade connector back on the male spade connector you just soldered on the board. After making sure the circuit boards are not touching each other, plug your unit into the power and see if the charging light and the other 3 LEDs light up. If they do, unplug from your power, reassemble, plug back in and enjoy. If the don't, check where the black wire from the battery attaches to the circuit board and repeat the same procedure. Good Luck !

Please post your results so we can all know if this is a common problem and a good fix! Thanks again!!

There is a green wire with a 2 prong female end in the center back of the cook top. where does this attach I have looked and felt everywhere. I spoke to tech support he said it was the grease pan ground....

Angeashmore: We had the same green wire problem. The catch is that the 2-prong female plug just looks like it should receive a matching 2-prong male plug. In fact, at the center back of the pull out Drip Tray there is a very small flange next to a small hole. That flange slips right into the plug, but under those two prongs which then hold it in place. Its length allows you to disconnect when you remove the Tray for cleaning, but if that's the first time you spot it loose, you'll think it plugs in somewhere up front and will look in vain for a matching 2-prong male plug. I'm guessing they provided a ground for the Drip Tray since it is otherwise fully suspended on nylon rollers. No instructions about this in the set-up manual, so likely omitted frequently. It's just a ground wire, and won't really fix anything else, and would appear to work just fine without it, but just a safety feaqture. Confirmed by tech support at Viking on 1/24/2011. Your initial post put me on the path to success here, so thanks! .....Jim

Jazzy Select 6 Indoor Power Wheelchair: how to charge...

The Jazzy Select 6 requires an off-board charger. Plug the charger into a grounded outlet; preferably one that doesn't have other large loads on the circuit like refrigerator, freezer, microwave, etc. The male 3-prong XLR connector coming off the other end of the charger plugs into a female XLR connector which is on the joystick control's bottom-rear. Charge it overnight after each days use, and at least once each month overnight. You should get 2-4 hours of use from the chair at top speed with a 200 pound driver, depending on terrain and climate. If it isn't holding a charge, you will probably need two new U-1 type gel sealed batteries that run about $120.00 or so each. Make sure you test the old batteries first at a knowledgeable battery shop. These are deep cycle batteries and require a special testing. If the batteries are good, then your charger isn't charging. Search EBay or other online sites for a wheelchair charger in the 4-6 amp range. They can be found for about $45.00 or so. Pride will charge you a lot more.

Charging

1. please check if the charger socket in you car is working.
You could use other deivce like a MP3 player for charging in the same socket.
If other device is not charging then the problem could be with the socket.

Check the fuse associated with the car charger.output

2.Looks like Nuvi charger has a known lose contact issue. It would be advisable to let Garmin know the issue and they will send a new one.

Havoc heli will not charge

As far as the green light on the charger not coming on: after I tested the batteries in the remote, I found that it was due to 2 of the 6 batteries in the remote control being dead (0.1volts) The charger probably sucks the power out of the #1 and #6 battery.

Make sure all batteries in the Remote have the same charge.

Also, there seems to be a loose contact in the charger plug prongs. You will have to find a way to sit the helicopter so that it stays in contact with the prongs while charging. Mine has to be on it's side to keep the green charger light on.

Good luck!

The Charger has a standard two pronged plug to go into the wall. The other end goes into the camera at the back bottom. You will see the female received for the male plug.
