All models are same ,only difference is speed
IR 5075 : speed is 75 copies per minute ( heavy duty machine)
IR 5065 : speed is 65 copies per minute ( heavy Duty mac..)
IR 5055 : 55 copies per minute ( Medium ... Mac..)

if you have more load of work select a high speed copy machine

I want to use my nikon d80 with my sb600 and as a infrared remote

The Nikon D80's shutter can be released via handheld "IR" or infrared remote. You can buy them online or in most camera shops. The Nikon branded one will cost the most, but really doesn't perform a whole lot better than the $5 third party versions. The nice thing about IR remotes is that only a transmitter is needed. There's a built in IR receiver on the front of the camera body, and as long as it is not obstructed - or too far from the transmitter, it will work fine.

The SB600 will fire if setup to work correctly when the shutter is released "normally" - triggering with a IR remote will not affect the SB600 flash whether mounted on the camera or if in "commander mode". The D80 manual has details on pg 38 to operate in both the instant and time delayed IR operation modes and should be consulted as Nikon does not allow copy and paste from the manual - and they make use of graphics for button functions.

When distances are too great for the IR remote, you'll need to go the route of an RF or radio frequency remote instead. Many of these will work at distance up to and even beyond 100 yards. They consist of a transmitter and receiver. The receiver can be mounted on the hot shoe of the camera or tethered via cable to the camera body. This is not the question you asked about, so I won't go into further detail - but only mention it as another way of doing the same thing from greater distances or when you can not be in front of the camera to access the IR receiver on the D80 body.

If this was helpful, please rate it as such. Thanks and good luck!

URC-50 Uninversal Remote won't control a Dish VIP 612 DVR. Both Companies say one is RF and the other IR so they can't "talk" to each other. How can a person "get around this" without buying another...

I don't know about the 612 but the 722 I have has green tabbed control for IR control of output 1 and by default of tuner 1 and controls the OTA tuner and will work with many IR remotes if set to address 1--they don't send the address. The blue tabbed one is for RF-controlled output 2 and tuner 2. Setting it to single (vs. dual) mode allows either remote to control tuner 1 and swap to tuner 2 and do PIP. Unfortunately the 612 does not have this mode.I haven't had a combo remote work well with tuner 1 even. It is much better to use the Dish remote for most of the work, well only volume and power on the TV. There are a lot of buttons most combo remotes will not have control of. Hey, I have 2 VIP722 and the TV remotes on the chair arm.Check with menu-menu to see which address code and control mode is set. But if manual allows and you can pull tab after opening battery slide and change switch beneath, you may be able to use as IR remote in preparation for your combo, just to be sure controls sent correctly. (Hold Sat button until all light, press address 1, press # to set remote [lights go out], then press record to set receiver while you watch menu-menu. less than 10 sec per step.)-Ken

DO NOT buy anything from Impactcomputers.com !!! Link for HP AC power module goes to this website, they are thieves. Send wrong parts, charge you to ship it back, and charge huge restocking fees. Customer service at this site are expert at lying to you. Google "complaints for Impactcomputers.com" and you will see they have 96 complaints to the better business bureau in just a few months. You will never get the part you need from them, they will rip you off.

CD400 and IR

Check it by point the lens at an IR source, like a remote control. Click on the remote, if you can see the IR light in the LCD finder, then the camera is sensitive to IR and should work. I think it will. The specs on the CD400 is almost completely the same as the S85 (excepting the obvious differences) and it probably has a lot of the same guts.
