First check the mains power chord for continuity and open circuit.
if this is ok then check the input voltage .(either 110V/220V)
Check these and tell me .

There is no power going to my microwave. The fuse is ok

Have you tested your plug outlet with another appliance? If not it could be your wall plug.If this OK then contact a technician in the yellow pages.

Should i keep the capacitor installed in the microwave before testing? Should i plug the microwave to electricity. Before testing?

If you are testing the capacitor, it needs to be out of the circut. Be aware that a cap can retain voltage after the power has been unhooked.

All microwaves has both internal thermal cut out and internal fuse, Yours problem sounds like an open 9 volts transformer that power up the front panel

How come my over the range microwave does not turn on at all??

Check internal fuse. If it's ok, one of the internal door switches, the high voltage circuitry, or the circuit board may have a problem. Diagnostics and repair might be quite complicates so better you take it to a repair service. You have some interesting Youtube video tutorials to repair a microwave

My old GE Spacemaker II microwave (JEM21K001) died. I was using it, heard a little pop, and it lost all power. Is this something simple to fix like replacing a fuse or is it bulk trash at this point?

HELLO.

take on these steps to solve the problem.

Check if there is electric power on wall outlet.

If the microwave plug has fuse, check if it has not burnt.if these are okay there is need to take the last step.

things needed
1.Screwdriver
2.Ohmmeter
3.New fuse

1. Unplug the microwave from the electrical outlet to prevent electrocution. Place the microwave in a well-lit area to be able to locate the fuse.

2. Use a screwdriver to remove the outer cabinet of the microwave, and follow the power cord to the fuse. The fuse is located 2 to 3 inches within the microwave and is attached to the power board.

3. Observe the fuse to determine if it is blown. Blown glass fuses will produce burn marks on nearby surfaces, or the internal fuse wire will be black and melted, while ceramic fuses show no outward appearance of being blown.

4. Determine if a ceramic fuse is blown by testing it with an ohmmeter. If the ohmmeter reads zero ohms, your fuse is not blown. Other readings on the ohmmeter show that your fuse is blown.
5. Replace the blown fuse by popping it out of its holder, and snapping a new fuse in its place. Tighten the fuse clips by squeezing them together with your fingers.

6. Replace the outer cabinet of the microwave, and plug the microwave back into the electrical outlet. Test the microwave to see if it's working properly.

Thanks.

I have taken the microwave oven out of the box. I have plug the equipment into the mains supply. Absolutely nothing happens. Mains supply o.K. Main 13 amp fuse O.K. Is it me or is this equipment u.s.

Hi,
If your sure that the socket you are plugging it in to (try something alse in it) is ok and the fuse in the microwave plug is ok and the microwave is not powering up at all then take it back to where you bought it for an exchange.
hope this helps.

Need help

1. Have you tested the outlet by plugging in something else and confirming that the outlet is good? If another device doesn't work in the outlet, then you have a bad fuse or breaker that powers that circuit in the house.

2. If power is OK, you probably have a bad fuse in the oven. You'll need to unplug the oven and remove the outside cover. Replace the fuse with the EXACT same rating of fuse of the original.

Please get back to me and let me know what you find.

Good luck!

Microwave has no power

Is the outlet ok? Can you plug somethng else into the outlet to see if the fuse or breaker controlling the outlet is ok? If there is power at the outlet, unplug the unit and remove the outside cover.
Look for a blown fuse on the motherboard. Replace it with the EXACT value of the original fuse. You can purchase a new fuse at Radio Shack or hardware store or auto parts store. Try powering up the unit again and see if it works now or whether the fuse blows again. If it blows again, the power supply may have been damaged. Was this a power outage or surge? Was anything else in your home affected?
