How to remove a cassette stocked in a vhs machine?

If the VHS tape is stuck inside, and when you push the eject button, it wont come out. Then you need to unplug the VHS player, take it apart so that you can access the inside. See how the tape is stuck inside and start to take it out the best you can. Once you get it out you may have to throw away the tape if it is messed up badly, if not wind it back up. Put the VHS player back together once you get the tape out. Then try to play another VHS tape and see if it works again. If not, it may be a bad VHS player or it may be the tapes. Hope this helps. I have had to take mine apart to take a tape out, so that's how I know

How to eject a stuck vhs tape.

I will show you how to eject a stuck vhs tape. I did this on the sony slv-d300p first, unplug it. Next, take out all the screws on the back. Take off the cover. Locate the loading motor on the right. Turn the gears next to it. After about 5 minutes, the tape should eject. While its open, take a CLEAN piece of paper, hold it up to the drum, and rotate it with the paper against the back. after 5 minutes, take the paper off and stop spinning. the paper may be dirty. put the cover back on, and try to put in a vhs c adapter with NO vhs c in it. when you put it in, it should spit it back out.

The tape won't eject. press any button and nothing happens makes a whirring sound

I would take the top cover off the machine and see what is happening inside. It's clearly trying to get the tape out from the noise.

Power off when inserting vhs tape

I had this problem when copying an old family vhs tape. I had to unscrew the top of the magnavox to access the vhs tape. Then, I gently removed the tape and replaced the cover. After winding the tape back, I put it in the player and immediately pushed fast forward for about 3 seconds before hitting play followed by d.dubbing. I was able to make a copy of the tape and did not damage my original.

HI is this device battery powered? the one lever prevents it from being taken in by the VCR

The lever sticks out because you have not put a VHS-C tape in the adapter, or because the tape has not been laced up. There is a single AA battery in the adapter to power the motor that laces the tape.

Doesn't seem to have a battery in the adapter - hard to insert tape then it does nothing

You must first put on the battery so that the mtor reurns back to the return mode so that the VHS-C can be placed . Once the door is shut after placing the cassette, the tape is wound up and it becomes just like a regular VHS tape. Now if this is not happening there is always a small gear on the back side with which you can manually wind to bring it up to the desired level. If not the motr is stuck or the pulley is running loose. You can open up and check inside , it is a simple mechansim with a switch to activate and return. Check the motor and gears. reset the drive by removing, check the battery voltage to the motor and your adapter will work. hope you check this out. Good day

You could probably do it yourself, but it would be best if you got professional help, you know, just in case if you don't know where the part went.

Why does the VCR ejects my tape?

The VHS PlayPak adaptor uses 1 AA battery. When you place your VHS-C tape into the adaptor and close the cover, you will hear the motor running and the red piece on the adapter will move inside. Check the placement of the battery and make sure the clear shrink-wrap has been removed from the battery.
