Yes, you have to take the starter off. The starter bolts keep that side of transaxle to engine block- take the starter off. Have you disconnected the negative battery cable from the battery? You must do that before taking off the starter electrical connections.
Since you are taking out the transaxle to engine bolts, then you should have the transaxle ready to pull back and drop. Has everything been removed from the transaxle, so it is free?

2002 chevy silverado 2500HD if i try to start my truck it cranks but will not turn over.

If the starter is turning, but not turning over the engine, then you will need a new Starter because it is not engaging.
  1. Disconnect the battery.
  2. Unbolt the wires to the starter, taking note of where they go.
  3. Unbolt the starter from the motor/transmission.
  4. Take the starter to Autozone, etc. to get the starter tested.
  5. Install the new starter.

I have replaced the starter and batteries and engine just clicks and starter gets hot

you have a faulty starter. you have to take it out.test it on the bench.
also check does the engine rotate ok.infect do this prior to taking the starter out.

I want to install Toyota OEM remote starter to my 2009 Venza with factory installed push button starter and factory alarm. Any recommendations for installation guide or video?

Do not install the OEM starter - it only works from about 80 feet away and is quite problematic. I just purchased a new V6-AWD with the push button start and the dealer is taking the OEM start out as we speak and taking it for an after market starter.

If you decide to do it yourself (you'll need to be quite mechanically inclined for this install), check youtube as the poster above has suggested - but again I highly suggest you consider an aftermarket starter and save the money that I didn't.

if the solenoid  is bad you can test this by taking some thing and crossing the terminals on the solenoid  and then if trying to start it dose not work it's the starter in that case remove the starter as a whole (on Toyota's is much than just removing the dead solenoid as compared to  domestic trucks) don't forget to remove the access panel on the passenger side fender well to make this go much easier and the bolts for the starter are on very bottom and top bolted directly to the bell/fly-wheel housung

THIS IS A BIG PAIN IN THE ****!!!!!!! i would definately reccommend getting the repair manual from any pepboys or autozone because there are several things that you have to do to get to the starter. This is to include taking the front bumper off moving the radiator and the front headlights forward, then taking out the alternator. All of which have little room to work in.
