Question about Cameras

1 Answer

I purchased two Swann Night Hawk video wireless cameras. They both get a horizontal flickering black bar jumping noise on the TV screen. Using AC or DC. Not sure what is causing the noise, and how to filter it out.

Video footage is poor quality, freezes and jumps.

That's a SWANN for you. I would contact the seller and ask for a new DVR to replace what sounds like a defect. Possibly a hard drive issue. COnverting to AVI is not something that should only work occasionally.

You are probably seeing hum bars which may be due to an AC ground loop that is going through the shields of one or more of the cables inteconnecting the TV with one or more of the other video components. You should do the following to try to resolve it...
1. reseat all the interconnecting cables between TV and other units
2. have all AC power supplied by one power bar with a ground plug

Just want to know were the cords go for the swann wireless camera into the wireless box and the tv not gettin a picture thanks

The yellow cable goes to your video in on the tv
The red rca cable goes to audio in on tv.
Select the video1 or 2 on tv to get picture.https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon.com/images/G/01/00/00/03/25/09/78/325097870.pdf

This sounds like it might be a defective CCD imager. If so, Canon should fix this for you for free, including free shipping both ways. This is regardless of your camera's warranty status. Please check the following two links for more info:
