Question about AT&T 1738 Digital Answering Machine
When recording a message, machine will sometimes (about 20% of the time) cut it off in the middle, even when machine is not full. This can happen when it is the only message, but especially when call is made from a cell phone. When I try to retreive it remotely, it plays only part of the message and then you can't get any messages after it either. Sometimes hitting 4, then 1, or 4, then 2, will get it unstuck and it will play. Or, calling back later sometimes does the trick. I had an old (10 years) machine that did this so I bought a new one and it does exactly the same thing. When I go to the machine, it plays fine, but this is impractical. What can I do about this short of buying another brand?
