SERVERB DOESNT SWITCH ON AND IT MAKES BEEPING NOISES AND SHOWS RED LIGHT.

Beeping on power up usually means hardware failure. Which of the front lights is showing red? This may help. There are also a number of lights on the mainboard which are diagnostic. The diagrams on the inside of the removable side cover show what state the lights should be for normal operation and how they would be in the event of a fault.

hello Gabriel

Could you check your SyncMaster 2233 for me and tell me your findings. If this monitor is connected from your computer and when both switch on, did the led indication lamp from your monitor lit steady green? or this lead indication lamp lit green then turns red?

1. If the led indication lamp lit steady green then there is nothing wrong with the settings, configurations, driver or hardware on your computer. The problem would be the backlight inverter lamp in your monitor is busted. Or it could be the inverter board that supplies high voltage for the backlight inverter lamp that is bad. You can replace the backlight inverter lamp located at the upper and lower part of the monitor with a replacement part you can purchase at shoppejimmy.com. Inverter board repair can be risky if you don't have the skill. Even opening the back cover of your monitor and replace by yourself the inverter lamp is risky too, could inflict more damage. you can bring it to a local professional service man.

2. If the led indication lamp lit green then turns red, then if not the video card the power supply section from your monitor is bad, you can replace polarized capacitor with same value. Just inspect and those with blown or leaking capacitor. You can also check the terminals and solder joints for the 15-pin vga terminal connector where vga cable is connected on your monitor. Resolder the terminals.

3. If the red indication lamp did not lit at all. Power supply section in the monitor is bad. You can check the output voltage from the power supply section. +5VDC is supplied for the main board and +24VDC is for the inverter board. Replace leaking or blown capacitor with same value.

Just remember, this should be done when computer and monitor is turn off
Post back if you have more questions. I am willing to give you assistance.

Your computer is not POSTing.

Remove the BIOS/CMOS battery for about a minute, then reinstall in the correct orientation.
This will reset the BIOS/CMOS to defaults. If it still doesn't work after this then 10 to 1 it's the Mainboard that is faulty, this would be confirmed if you startup your PC without RAM in it and it doesn't beep at you. Also confirmed if it doesn't beep at you at all and there is a speaker installed on the indication header, which is near the pins that the HDD led and power LED are pluged into.

I know this is quite a blow. Best of luck.
Please take the time to rate this solution, it's the thumbs up on the top right on this solution.
Thanks.

VA1703wb... Monitor beeps when I turn on the pc then goes black

Please read below and look at the pictures of failed VIEWSONIC nd othe monitor before try to DIY repair.
Most common failures in the LCD monitors are bad capacitors (bulging top/seal or leaking) in the power supply, failed inverter circuits (blown fuse, shorted transistors, shorted/open transformers), bad lamps (poor solder connections or worn out lamps). You will need to open it up and inspect the inside, see example of failed monitors to get some ideas what to look for: http://s807.photobucket.com/home/budm/allalbums
Post back what you see inside so we can guide you further and it will help out other people in the future also.

Red light on power up. No image on monitor. Pc fans working.

On a computer mainboard there are usually a number of connecting pins right next to one another called RESET, POWER LED, HD LED etc.
The power led often leads to the green LED next your power button to show that the juice is available and on. The cable that leads to the red LED is usually the HD LED which shows that a disk drive is being accessed.
Since the red LED is active, one of your disks is probably being accessed and that's where the problem is. Either the disk is damaged, the cable is still not inserted properly or the bios is having problems identifying one of your disk drives.

1) Power the computer off. Take the power cable out. Make sure that you are grounded (have no static charge on your body). Take all of the cables between your mainboard and your disk drives off.
2) Plug in one of your disk drives, reconnect the power cable, switch the power on and watch the monitor. If all goes well you will see that the bios has recognized the disk drive and will simply display a message that the operating system for example isn't available or no harddisk drive is present (if you connected something other than a harddisk drive).
3) repeat this process with the other drives, powering the pc completely off each time and then adding a new disk drive.
4) once you've reached the point where the red LED drive is displayed but no message is available, you've found the culprit that is keeping your pc from booting properly. Hopefully the cable has just been stuck on improperly or the cable is damaged (Check it), rather than you having disk drive damage.

Good luck!

Red Light

Hi Ivematthew,
Usually, that red light is simply an indicator that the mainboard is receiving a 5volt supply from the power supply and you must NEVER install or remove any mainboard components whilst this light is on. In fact, dont touch the instde if the case or the mainboard if this light is on.
If you are getting a no signal on your monitor, try turning off at the mains and pulling the plug out, then touch the metal chassis of the case BEFORE you touch anything inside the case.
Then carefully remove your video card and re-install it into the same slot, you can even do this a couple of times. Then try booting the system up.
Also, check that both ends of the video cable are securely connected and that the cable appears undamaged.
I have to ask, Is the system booting up?
Are you getting a single beep at the start of the boot or is your system beeping more then once?
If it is beeping more then once, count the length and number of beeps and go to the ASUS website where you can use the beep code to locate the particular fault the mainboard is signalling about.
Let me know how things go and email me if you are still having issues OK?

Still having trouble with EMachines T3882

I feel your pain. I finally moved my pc to a room with no windows! But seriously, try a different monitor first. See if you can borrow someone's to just try it before you do anything else. If that borrowed monitor works fine, then you know what the problem is. (Which I believe is the problem.) By the way, what started all of your problems?

The projector displays pink or red not full color

Hi GiantBryan

If switching the cables did not work , then this is a faulty Mainboard that will need either repair or replacement as discolouration on a Projector could only be the cables or the Mainboard.
