Are you using a desktop? Then check first your bios settings, or you need to change your cmos battery. Are you getting to set the date whenever you start it up?

Hi I am Vortash I have had a problem like this once before , not sure if it is the same problem but you can try this .
check that the keyboard is on PSU and not USB depending on which type you are using .. check ( and as mine was ) the delete key is not pressed down or stuck telling the unit to go to Bios .. check that you don't have a faulty HD make sure it is spinning up you should be able to hear it read and spin .. if you have more than one ram slide inserted take them out leaving only one try a start up with each one individually .. if all this fails I would suggest it is a CPU fault not holding data .. hope this helps regards Vortash

Your motherboard keyboard controller is not initializing completely. The three LEDs shows the keyboard is powered and initializes, but the motherboard keyboard controller looks to be bad. I assume the keyboards work on other computers. Make sure there are no jumpers on the motherboard for the keyboard. You said the video screen is stuck on CMOS BIOS logo and is trying to continue with a missing keyboard or keyboard error. So since it got to the BIOS screen, pretty much everything else came up.

Acceso a bios

Look at the bottom of the monitor screen, when the manufacturer logo comes up

Gigabyte?

Look for -> enter BIOS Setup <- and the key to press

If Windows loads, let it load. Then turn the computer off normally.
(WinXP: Start > Turn Off Computer > Turn Off )

If Windows does NOT load, press the CTRL key, ALT key, and DELete key AT THE SAME TIME. (Not shouting)

Or press the Power On button, and hold in for a count of 10 seconds.

Now...........
AS SOON AS you press the Power On button, start tapping on that enter BIOS Setup - key.

Tap in 2 second intervals.

If you hear beeps ignore them.
They are Stuck Key Error Code beeps, and it is you that is doing it

This method will get you into BIOS Setup.

Need to access the menu

Know what the ->enter BIOS Setup key is?

It's on the bottom of the computer manufacturer logo screen.

Got it?

Now press the CTRL and ALT and DELete keys at the same time.
Restarts the computer.

JUST AS SOON AS IT STARTS, start tapping on the enter BIOS Setup key.
Tap in 2 seconds intervals.

If you hear beeps ignore it. These are Stuck Key Error Code beeps, and it is you that is making them.

Still No?
Turn the computer off by holding the Power On button in, for 10 seconds.
WAIT 20 seconds, then press the Power On button.

AS SOON AS YOU PRESS the Power On button, start tapping on the enter BIOS Setup key. The rest is above.

Regards,
joecoolsvette

[The time period to enter BIOS Setup goes by F-A-S-T!
As soon as you see the computer manufacturer 'splash screen', (Logo screen), it may be TOO late. The above method makes sure you get in BIOS Setup ]

P5e3 deluxe motherboard. Computer starts ok but with nothing on the screen until the welcome logo. This means cannot get into bios or safe mode. Computer runs well otherwise

Your bios may be set for quick boot, and does not show the bios information. You can still access the bios by hitting F2(or possibly DEL) right after powering up. You can then change settings inside bios

How do I get rid of the soyo dragon off my computer. It is the first thing I see after I turn on my computer

You can turn this off in your Bios settings.
To do this, press delete when computer starts booting up and this will open the bios screens.
Go to Advanced Bios Features and look for 'Full Screen Logo Show', set this to disabled.
Some of the soyo boards will vary in how you do this so just look at what yours has in the Advanced Bios page, some you will change the Logo size to make it go away and another you switch between Logo-0 and Logo-1.
Lastly, if you are running the p4i865pe plus dragon 2 v1.0 board and/or bio version 865dp1a2 there seems to be no way to get rid of it (updating that bio version to the newest one may change that though)

Hope this helps you resolve the issue!

If you are having problems installing windows 7,you might wnat to go into your bios main screen and see if your hard drive(sata mode) is set to IDE.If so,set it to AHCI mode,as any operating systems above windows xp will not install on IDE mode.Hope this solves your problem :)
