Question about Zanussi ZWF1440 Front Load Washer

Open Question

I have a Zanussi ZJD 12191 Jetstream turbo dry (built in). Problem is I have a sock stuck between the metal drum and the rubber seal at the door and it wont budge. It seems like its caught between the metal and a plastic bit of the drum. It's also stopping the drum from spinning. Any advice please? Thanks.

SOURCE: Door rubber for Zanussi Jetstream Excel 1200

Hi.
It is a sod to get the spring on .
Make sure the rubber is on securely, and then gradually feed the spring round the rubber starting at the top.

It will get more difficult the further round you get, If you can get someone to hold the spring for you when part way round, you will get it on.
You can also try stretching the spring, which will make it easier to get on .

Good luck.

SOURCE: I have a zanussi turbo dry built-in washer/dryer

Hey, Just load the washer but do not over load. These combo washer dryers are strictly for smaller loads. You should have a drawer to the left that you place the soap and softer and bleach. Set to the washer to washer. The door should lock automatically. Then set your dryer setting to the the Heat temperature that you want. 100 degrees is ok to start with. then it will adjust itself as it goes through the cycles you have set. Enjoy the machine should work. If it does not look to make sure that the door is closed all the way. Sometimes you have to open the door and reset it and shut the door or while it is closed gently push on it till you hear a small clicking noise. ENJOY YOUR WASHER DRYER COMBO

Hi,the door seal is held in place with a wire with spring on it,just open door get hold of rubber witch is attatched where door closes,
if you pull on the rubber at the edge you will see the wire you will have to get a flathead screwdriver to prise it out, once you take the metal band off just pull the rubber off, then if you pull on the rubber the inside bit of the rubber will come out.

I have a Zanussi ZWF1241W and something is stuck in the drum. The drum does not spin freely and prior but does not have any play. What is the best way of checking this and getting the obstruction out....

It was a sock wedged between the lip of the spinning drum and the outer (stationary) drum casing. I managed to ease it out with some pliers - rotating the drum and pulling. Be careful though not to nick the door seal (as I did). It may be a better strategy to get the door seal off and then remove the obstruction. I'm about to find out how easy/hard/fiddly it is to get a new door seal onto this machine!

Water leaks

I had similar issue. Fill tube running from the bottom of detergent tray to the washer drum was plugged.... (by a sock!!!). How did it get there? I'll tell you. You see the drum seal (around the inside of the door) is not a tight seal. You can actually reach up behind it from where it meets the top of the drum. Anyway in my case, a sock made it's way through that seal and outside the drum and into the drum containment vessel. So when the drum spun (to dry the clothes and empty the water) it made a terrible noise. The sock became lodged at the base of the fill tube opening and plugged it thus not allowing any water into the drum. Instead, when filling, the water just flowed out from the bottom of the detergent tray and onto the floor. I hope this helps.

He2 leaking from detergent dispensor

Plug off the wall, etc. Remove the rear cover. There is a thin tube coming from the control panel area to the base where the water exits, this should not be blocked, remove from top and blow to check, refit. Next clean out your outlet filter, it could be clogged, refit. This tube controls the water level. Another thing that could be the problem: Try to take the top of the machine off; there are three tubes coming into the dispenser box, these may hv come loose or something. Connect well.
