Question about Radio Flyer Retro Rocket New Version

Open Question

Radio flyer retro rocket electronics got wet

Bought at yard sale for $1. It was filthy, had spider egg sacs & spiders. I tried new batteries but nothing worked. I removed screws and opened it up. more dirt and scum. I had no choice but to just hose everything out. I cleaned the electonics with electronics cleaner, dried everything, straightened up the flat grey connection (cords?). I'm ready to put it back together but first I wanted to know if and how I can check connections, the little computer boards or electronic boards and those flat wire things. Sorry, I don't know the correct terminology. I just want to see if I can get it to work myself for my granddaughter. If I can't, I'm only out $1. Maybe there is a diagram or schematics for it? Hope you can help, thank you Barbara

I have a kenmore gas grill, we had it in storage for about 9 months. we took it out of storage and now we can not get the rill to heat up over 200 degreees we did get a new tank of propane

Remove the burners and clean them inside and outside. Look down towards the knob which is where the jet it. Look for spider webs and egg sacs.

If the gas is cold, it has reduced pressure. Bring it inside for 24 hours, connect it and use it. Turn the gas off at the bottle and it should hold its pressure.

Are Beanie babies filled with spider eggs just hatching now?

I would find that highly unlikely as spider eggs hatch in a time frame of one to four weeks. It is more likely that the eggs were laid during that time period.

How to rebuild dana 60 front?

Fully rebuild, or partial rebuild? Pinion, ring, spider gears, pumpkin, bearings? Rebuilding it FULLY and PROPERLY is a big story, one too big to relate here, and it takes quite a lot of special tooling (differential spreader, dial indicators, etc). Please don't attempt this unless you have a well equipped shop.

If you just need to replace the spider gears, that's easy. Drain the oil, remove the cover, rotate the pumpkin until you can unbolt the crosspin. Push/pull the crosspin out, rotate the spider gears until they come out. Remove the side gears. Remove all four thrust washers.

Replace all four thrust washers, then the new side gears, then mesh the new spider gears with the side gears & rotate them into place. If the crosspin hole won't line up, rotate one axle shaft until it does. Install the new crosspin and bolt it in. Replace the cover gasket and cover, refill.

Going further requires a LOT more work, but you'll need to remove the spider & side gears first anyway. If you're replacing bearings or the pumpkin or the ring & pinion, you'll need a bunch of new shims to work with until you can get the ring-pinion clearance exactly right. You'll also need a differential spreader to get enough space to remove/install the pumpkin with its bearings in place. If you're replacing the pinion gear, you'll need to take some painfully exact measurements or you'll NEVER get the ring/pinion clearances correct.

Vari flo handle not working properly

Hi,

Which model year VariFlo?
  • Some model years do not take a spider gasket as there is spider gasket type bead molded into the diverter/key hub assembly.
  • Spider Gasket, raised bump should face up & gasket should be glued down down to prevent it moving.
  • Spring & nylon washers could also be bad.

I AM HAVING COLOR PROBLEMS AND HAVE SPIDER WEBS ON THE INSIDE OF THE SCREEN. WHAT IS CAUSING THE COLOR PROBLEM AND HOW DO I CLEAN THE INSIDE OF THE TV?

Sounds like you might have yellow sac spiders. They like going on the inside of electronic components (i.e. cars, radios, tvs, computer towers, etc). color issues are normally associated with Color Wheels or chip-boards. Spiders can easily screw this up. Get a Compressed Air Can (like cleaning your keyboard) and clean it out. make sure you unplug the unit before you do this. You will be able to see better.

To get inside you have to take off the back panel. There should be about 14-20 screws holding it on. Be very careful. taking it off. if you need to get another person to help pull it off. You may have to open up other panels to get to the screen. Check out your lamps and wheel to see if they appear damaged or blown or charred in any way.

Bearings on a indest wie 167 washing machine

You can download a user manual for your m/c, but not a repair manual, Go to>
www.indesit .co.uk
Follow the links. To remove the spider, remove the rear panel, remove drum belt, undo drum pulley, you may have to heat the screw holding the pulley, undo all screws that you can see holding the spider to drum rear.
Withdraw spider, you may have to use some force to pull it off.
Fit new bearings or spider, and reassemble..
plz rate this solution.

Does not spin

there is a coupling between the motor and gearbox, that fails.
it is a simple repair, and well worth trying

remove cabinet
  • pop off edge trims from control console
  • remove screwss from under edge trim
  • slide console forward and up ~1inch
  • flip the console over the back of the washer, the hinges are plastic and a little fragile
  • remove brass clips holding cabint inplace remember how they fit
  • lift cabinet ~1inch and remove forward
repair coupling
  • motor gearboxpump is at front bottom center
  • remove lock screw from clip holding pump to motor
  • remove two spring clips
  • pull pump off motor and swing sideways on hoses, tie off to left with a string
  • remove lock screw from clip holding motor to gearbox
  • remove two spring clips
  • pull motor off rubber coupling
  • pull nylon spider off gearbox shaft
  • pull nylon spider off motor shaft
  • install new spiders to shafts. Use a hammer to strike a wooden dowel on the center of the spider, dont hit the legs of the spider they break off

Note the new coupling spiders have metal centers to stop further breakage, common fault
  • turn gearbox spider 1 leg up two legs down
turn motor spider , 2 leg up 1 leg down so the spiders will interlock
  • install new rubber coupling on gearbox spider, install motor on coupling.
reassemble all clips and screws in reverse order
reassemble case in reverse order
on reassemble ensure plastic level sensing hose is not dislodged from water level switch body

takes longer to type than to do the repair
at parts store "Kenmore gearbox coupling" will get the correct part
