Garmin fr60 footpod

Read this BEFORE you buy a new Garmin footpod because of non-detection issues after replacing batttery.

My battery died and after changing it with a new one I've not been able to detect the footpod with my 910xt until now. I notice that in the cap or lid of the footpod where the battery sits before closing it sits a white piece with contacts for the battery. I had inadvertently taken this out when replacing the battery, which is fine BUT you have to put it back in a certain position. If you look very closely at the cap where the battery sits you will notice there are tiny grooves where the contacts should sit into. As soon as I line these up with the white contact piece, voila! Footpod was immediately detected. Try it if you are having issues after replacing a new battery.

Hi there!

Actually, you have 3 possibilities for taking the back off a watch. It depends of the type of watch you have. First type, 4 little screws, one in each corner of the watch. Use a precision screwdrivers and you won't have any problem. The 2nd type is a cap that you'll need to pop. If you don't have watch tools, i suggest you use a butter knife, it's relatively safe and most of the time you can manage to get it open. The last type is a lot more tricky. You need to squeeze that cap in a tool and unscrew the cap. I never managed to do it without the right tool, even with the tool it's really hard. So if you have that type of watch, I suggest you go in your local jewelery store and ask them to open it for you.

I need to change the batteries and i cant get thhe back off

mcdevito75 here, Croton, a high quality watch, Best Bet is to look for a small watch repair shop in your area for the battery change, these quartz movements can easily be destroyed with mis-handleing and anyway a battery lasts at least 1 year.

mcdevito75 here, Best Bet, look for a small watch repair shop in your area to cahnge the battery as any pressure on the display while changeing the battery on a Casio watch will break it.

Hi-cant get the back off my M&S watch to change battery?

The slots are intended for a special tool.

Take your watch to your nearest watch shop and ask them to do it for you.

You can get into difficulty replacing batteries and it is not worth the risk for the small cost saving.

Cant change battery

I have a timex expedition watch and I need to replace the battery. I've unscrewed the back and now I see 2 clips that have to be unlatched to remove the battery. How do I remove these clips?

Changed battery(capasitor) in citizen E811m. Watch and still does not work. Does battery have to be charged first and if so HOW?

I take it this is an Eco-Drive. You must ensure you have the correct replacement cell (cap) and it will need charging. See your instruction manual for details on charging. You can download instrustions from citizens website if you've lost them.
