The power supply board answer is correct. However, depending on your model, the part may not be available or maybe you don;t want to spend a couple hundo and have some basic electronic skills. The following is an inexspensive and effective alternative.

I have a NEC 61" plasma with the same problem. However, I couldn't find the part I needed (the power supply board) except at NEC and they wouldn't sell me one since I was not azn authorized repair center.

So I checked the board, by simply measuring the resistance between connections, and discovered that 2 MOSFETs on the board, used for power switching, were defective. These transistors have been discontinued but were available still from the manufacturer. I replaced 3 of them for .75/ea and the TV is working beautifully now. The part number for the MOSFETs is FS20SM-5 and available directly from Powerex. I suspect many plasmas use this series (FSXXX-X) of discontinued transistors on their power boards thus the mulitudes of similar complaints and the discontinuation.

7 red flashing lights, won't power up..

Check the power board for capacitors with the tops bulged up. They are 3300uf 10v. There are either 2 or 4 of them depending on your set.

Unfortunately the 'green line' issue mentioned in the review appears to still be happening on screens that are shipping to end users. (It's been documented in detail on AVForums).

Hopefully this should be rectified by a firmware change (simply being able to adjust the picture vertically as well as horizontally would help).

The clearlcd technology is new for philips

VERY VERY COMMON IN PHILIPS!!! People all over the internet are noticing the same problem. Philips is still working on it. I will let you know as soon as they have a solution.

TV will not turn on, the light goes from green to red.

I own the same model. You have 1-2 Blown Capacitors. Take off the back cover, And look towards the center of the main power board. Look towards the center of this, and there are 2 capacitors side by side. You should see them swollen at the tops, even maybe a little black residue that has come out. I soldered on 2 new ones, and bingo! I would suggest replacing them both.
