Question about Campbell Hausfeld 28 - Gallon Air Compressor
You have a air pressure switch on the compressor. When your tank gets to a certain pressure it will shut down until the pressure drops below a certain pressure. More than likely you have a bad pressure switch, the contacts are probably stuck in the closed position which would explain why your tripping the circuit breakers. You should be able to go to the Campbell Hausfeld site to identify and order the switch. This is something you can change out yourself, it is a simple R&R

Mine is doing the same thing. I was told that I needed to check the pressure relief valve, but I don't know where it is located.
