How do i keep the flash from coming on when taking picture

On the back of the camera, there is a column of 4 buttons. One is marked with a lightning-bolt-arrow icon. Press that button and you'll see an icon appear on the screen. Press that button again and again until you get an icon with the lightning-bolt-arrow inside a circle-with-a-line-through-it. (What Europeans would call a "no parking" icon, but Americans would call "the Ghostbusters thing.")

I have a 2005 dodge 5.7 litre Hemi. During the cold months in WI it doesn't want to turn over and start. I recently put in a new battery ( high end) and that does nothing. Any thoughts?

Check all the ground wires, possibly upgrade most Dodges have pretty weak grounding wires as do most domestics in general, American wiring just isnt as good as the Japs or Europeans. Also check the cables going to your starter. Make sure to check the hot and the ground on this one.

What is an American suit?

An American suit is a style of suit that best suits larger frames as many Americans are traditionally larger than their European counterparts. Usually it's a three buttoned single breasted blazer and this also helps to complement the larger frame.

The brakes, when pressed in the front, seem to not stop and slide , brake lights will not come on, transmission shift makes noise when shifting from park to driveand to reverse. I have taken my vehicle...

Brakes - most common is brake pads were replaced with non-OEM pads and/or rotors were machined during the brake service. Use OEM brakes pads and replace, instead of machining, rotors. Again, use OEM parts for best results. GM recommends replacing rotors during brake service on that model, similar to European models. Unfortunately, GM has not priced the rotors as the Europeans have priced theirs.
Transmission noise - I am assuming a "clunk" noise when shifted while at a stop, also known as "garage shift". Most common is the bushings in the rear differential housing mounts. They may look OK upon inspection but when removed they will be split. Second common is similar issue with transmission mount itself, although that is quite rare.
Brake lights - Any competent automotive electrical repair facility should be able to diagnose this as there is an open in the circuit somewhere. That system is relatively simple and stratagy based diagnosis should lead the technician to the problem.

NEC 1860nx. When owering up monitor, screen lights up, then 2 seconds later goes dark. Can I repair this?

The inverter board was made using lead free solder.... thank the Europeans for that. The larger components develop cracks on their solder joints after a few months of on time. Remove the inverter board. Use 15x magnification or better in bright light and you'll see the cracks on the ends of the large resistors. Apply fresh solder and you'll be good to go. You might run into resistors where you solder one end and they lift up... that means joints on both sides went bad. Son't kow how many more fixya's I'll answer w/o free access to the other responders?

Computer recharger

Hi,

To my knowledge most current laptop AC adapter are designated/designed to be autovolt. This refers to the capability of the adapter to accept (without any problem) any voltage anywhere and still process it to a useful output that the laptop can use. This could be verified by looking over the sticker/nameplate of the adapter. If it says 1--~240VAC, then it is auto volt. The next area of concern would be the way the AC plugs are designed. US standards differs from European and for the AC adapter/charger to fit the European wall outlets, some sort of mechanical adapter is required. Most US AC plugs are parallel polarized flat prongs whereas Europeans would be small circular prongs.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
