My BT50 Mazda truck won't allow me to go into 2nd gear, it's really difficult and you need a lot of pressure on the gear stick, first gear is difficult too... Just had the clutch changed a year ago... Any...

check the box turret where the lever pivots for gear selection. IT may be loose here and not allowing proper alignment with the shift rail. The problem is that the shift rail selector for 1st and 2nd is not sliding freely and it is controlled by a position de dent ball that is spring loaded . Check the manual but there should be a plug on the side of the box in line with the rail that when removed will have a spring under it and a ball. IF the spring is deformed -replace it as it may be jamming the movement of the ball. At this point I do not believe that you will have to go into the box or that it is a clutch problem. A clutch problem would be indicated by not able to get 1st gear but second is synchronised so there would be little difficulty in that selection. The lever would be free to move also.

Citroen jumper gear change

Your description makes me remember an old Austin Metropolitan I had once. The gear linkage was crude and it was possible sometimes to engage two gears at once resulting in a lock-up and a stalled engine. It never happened while driving at speed.

When repairing a gearbox, once the selector linkage has been removed it is usual to select two gears in order to lock the shafts for the tightening or loosening of a retaining nut. There is built into the internal selector linkage an interlock to prevent two gears being selected.

I imagine that interlock in your gearbox is worn or broken...

2009 hyundai sonata stuck in gear

If there is no way in which the lever can come out even after you start and run the engine and engage the clutch, then it is a fault within the gear box as a possible gear must have jammed with a worn out selector. It will be necessary to remove the tansmission and check for fault if there is no jamming of the gear levers mechanically. Use extra leverage to try and move the gear linkage and if this seems too hard do not attempt.
You need to be equipped to remove and check this out or take consensus.

Gear selector into 1st gear fine into 2nd gear having to take foot off peg to change gear it is the same through to 6th and back down again, gear change is smooth just far to much space on lever...

If gear selection is difficult it would likely be badly set clutch or a bent gear selector fork. Major strip and repair! If it is slack but easy to select gears then first check that the gear lever or linkage if it has one is tight on the shaft and not sloppy, nine times out of ten this is the answer. If not then it could be slack in the selector system, shims usually being the culprit. Expensive! Hope it is the lever....

Motorcycle: Difficulty changing up to 2nd gear and neutral

one thing, check your gear selector, sometimes if that sharp edge is rounded out, worn out from usage, your gears may either slip, or wont wove at all.

2007 yamaha ttr 125 wont go into gear. starts fine. try to shift no matter if you try first or second or any gear it won't go into gear just idles and wont move

gear selector may be jammed inside the casing or broken
check that the shifter is tight on the shaft!
check clutch adjustment
try rocking bike back n forth without using clutch while you try ******* the gear lever it may come unstuck
but get it looked at if it frees up!

My 95 nissan maxima shifts hard from first to second then shifts good the rest of the gears

Look into issues with the throttle position sensor, i had the same problem with a 95 se. The sensor is directly responsible for shift intervals as it gives the ecm throttle position which doesnt go hand and hand with rpm. Sometimes the sensor needs adjustment, however this is not recommended if you dont have a scan tool to reset your ecm. check this page out
