Yes.on the door to your drive.turn off the computer and put a paper clip inthe hole.it should open,if not the disk is pinched inside,or there is no power to the drive.then you have to use a pocket knife, while pushing the paper clip in and hope you can pry it open.

How do I eject a disk from my dell model 1737 studio lap top(window vista) . It made noise are clicking sound when it went in.

Hello Reg,

The CD/DVD rom is tray type then use a pin to eject the tray. There is small hole in front of tray plate.

Insert the pin in the small home and press smoothly and the tray will eject .

If the CD/DVD rom is different type then use long steel V shape clip to pull the disc.

We have a Dell studio 15. Windows will not start up, we have a dvd in the laptop. We cannot eject the disc

There is a small pin hole on the front of the tray, get a fine jewelers screwdriver or a needle, push in until you hear a click, the tray should pop open allowing access to your dvd.

To eject your CD, look for a very small hole next to or near the eject button. Grab a large paper clip and straighten it out and then push one end into the small hole and press on it until it ejects

I have cd that won't eject. it is a "green" cd and is thinner that standard cd-roms. I have a Dell Vostro 1510 and am using Windows Vista premium.

There is usually a little hole in the dvd draw facia that you can push a thin object like a paper clip into. this manually opens the draw

Can't eject CD from Dell Studio 15

If you look at the front of the CD drawer you will see a little hole which will take a strong paper clip when it is straightened out.

Push the paper clip into that hole press firmly and the drawer will release so that you can get your disc out

Wont eject

Look at the drive there should be a tiny pin hole near the eject button, insert a needle (safety pin, sewing, etc.) into the pin hole and push this opens the drive.
You can also try opening my computer and right clicking the DVD drive and select eject.

Cd stuck in drive

if the drive doesn't have a tray, try holding down the eject button. I think you would have to take the drive out from the laptop and possibly take the drive apart to get it unstuck.

Note that it may void your warranty if you have warranty on it, if you do have warranty on the computer it would be better to contact dell directly. They might replace the drive if its faulty.

also in windows you can try right click on the cd /dvd drive in my computer and select eject.
