How to convert dec to bin kenko kk-82tl-5?

Decimal is base 10 and binary is base 2.

The columns from right to left in base 10 are:

10^10 10^9 10^8 10^7 10^6 10^5 10^4 10^3 10^2 10^1 10^0
Similarly, the columns from right to left in base 2 are:
2^10 2^9 2^8 2^7 2^6 2^5 2^4 2^3 2^2 2^1 2^0

This site does a good job of explaining the conversion from decimal to binary.

http://www.math.grin.edu/~rebelsky/Courses/152/97F/Readings/student-binary

For example, take the number 157. The biggest column that goes into 157 is 128, which is the 2^7th column, so we put 1 in that column. Subtracting 128 from157, we get 29. We start all over again. The biggest binary number going into 29 is 16, which is the 2^4th column. When you subtract 16 from 29, you get 13. We start all over again. The biggest binary number going into 13 is 8. Subtracting 8 from 13, we get 5. Biggest number going in is 4, 2^2th column. 1 left over to go into the 2^0 column.

Pulling it all together, we get:

10011101.

Checking, 128 + 16 + 8 + 4 + 1 = 157.

Good luck.

Let me know if you have any questions.

How do I find log with a different base (not 10)?

Calculate the log (base 10) of the number, then divide the result by the log (base 10) of the base.
For example, to calculate the base-3 log of 9, calculate the log of 9 to get 0.954 . Divide that by the log of 3 (about 0.477) to get 2.0 .
Since 9 is 3 squared, the log base 3 of 9 is 2, as we just calculated.

Define algebra:decimal

Decimal is the base-10 notational system for representing real numbers. The expression of a number using the decimal system is called its decimal expansion, examples of which include 1, 13, 2028, 12.1, and 3.14159.

Each of the arabic numerals 0 to 9 is called a decimal digit, and the period placed to the right of the units place in a decimal number is called the decimal point (or, in the case that a comma is instead used for this purpose, the decimal comma).

The decimal is a way of managing numbers that has ten as a starting point, or base. It is sometimes called the base ten or denary numeral system. The word "decimal" is also used instead of the word "period" to point out the dot that is sometimes used separates the positions of the numbers in this system. Almost everyone uses this nowadays and prefers the convenience of it probably because it shows up most often in calculations in nature and has "one" as another starting point for the system. The number one is usually the easiest to work with in calculations.

1111 base 2 + 1010 base 2 my answers are either 20 or 30

You can solve this the same way you solve regular base 10 addition. In base 10, if you add two numbers and the result is greater than 10, you carry a 1 to the next column to the left. So 6+3=9 (no carry), but 6+5=11 (we carried a 1 to the next column).

In base 2, there are only 2 digits to use (0 and 1) and we carry when the result is greater than 2. So in base 2, 1+0=1 (no carry), but 1+1=10 (carry to the next column).

So to do your addition:
a9c0a72.jpg
In the 1's column, 1+0=1, no carry
In the 2's column, 1+1=0, carry 1 left
In the 4's column, 1+0+1(the carry from before)=0, carry 1 left
and so on.

It's easier than base 10, with only two digits to deal with.
