My rowenta steamer is not producing steam but tubing getting hot when I turn on steamer. Suggestions?

see this causes and fix it. God bless you

If the iron heats but steams improperly, inspect the soleplate and clean the vents (see below) and flush sediment out of the steam chamber .

If the iron produces too much or too little heat, test the electrical cord . Also test and, if needed, adjust calibration of the thermostat .

If the iron does not spray properly, inspect and clean the nozzle.

If the iron leaks or spits, clean the steam vents, nozzle, and tank.

If the iron sticks to fabric, clean or repair the soleplate. If the iron stains fabric, clean the soleplate, clean the tank with a commercial cleaner, and use distilled or filtered water.

I cant get my iron to get hot enough it gets warm but then the light will sut off and it will stop heatting up

The problem lies with the thermostatic control. Check that your control knob has not been incorrectly replaced on the thermostat shaft and that you have full turning motion on the knob, it should turn about 3/4 turn from stop to stop. The thermostatic control is adjustable, but to do this the iron must be stripped.

My iron will not consistently get HOT.

Hi.

The clicking sound is given by the solenoid that turns on and off the iron element. Heating cannot be turned on, and the iron keeps clicking without making any heat.

The cause of the problem can be a defective solenoid, a broken contact, or an open thermistor (it will turn the solenoid back on). The oven must be taken apart and tested to find the fault.

Regards.

Iron will not get hot

I suspect that the Irons heating element is coated with calcium, try using a couple of tablespoons of vinegar in a glass of water and let it sit overnight then rinse.

My iron will not heat up to the hot postion

The thermal cutoff device blew and must be replaced. It acts like a fuse when the iron gets too hot. Thay are very
cheap and it would be well worth replacing. Hope this was helpful.
