My salt water pump keeps saying low salt. I have had the water checked and there is plenty of salt. I have cleaned the cell and it still says low salt. The pump is on;y 1 year old. I dont know what else to...

I suggest you clean the cell according to manual and try it then. If it keeps producing chlorine then keep swimming. If the pump is flowing water fully (if not clean baskets and filter) and it can't keep the chlorine above 2 ppm and you have 30 to 50 ppm stabilizer in the water then there is a major problem in the chlorinator. I don't trust the salt indicator on some chlorinators but that is less important than if it chlorinates. You can but salt test strips. I hope this helps.

After bonding atoms we are ask to name the resulting compounds in its common name and as well as its chemical name. so my question is, what is the difference between common names and chemical names? please...

Common name is the name what people call it, it usually gives you no idea as to what the chemical composition of the compound is. (eg: Common name for Sodium Chloride is Salt) whereas the chemical name is based on what the compound is made up of (A molecule of salt is made up of one atom of Sodium and one atom of chlorine. this can be understood from the chemical name, but not from the common name.)

Hi i have a 18 x 48 above ground intex frame pool with a salt water pump /chlorinator system. i have put the required amount of salt in 75 kg and it has fully desolved. the alarm keep coming up on the pump...

Hello,
the amount of salt that they reccomend in the book is just a starting point
You need to get a salt test kit that reads in #'s not colors
Get your pool to as close to 3000ppm as possible
lower than 2800ppm and you will not produce enough chlorine
any higher than 3500ppm and you can trigger high salt alarm, have bad tasting water, or even get cloudy water
Like you have done, when adding salt , filter only for 6 hours or so to fully disolve

How much salt?

You should always keep the salt tank at least 1/2 full of salt. Use Dura Cube or Hardi Cube salt to prevent bridging and the buildup of sediment in salt tank. If the salt runs low in salt tank there will not be sufficient brine created to regenerate the resin and hard water will occur.

try stirring the water in the salt container. however, as long as you renew the salt now and again, it doesn't matter

Salt not working through into the system

Salt will sometimes "bridge up" at the bottom of the tank.
Sometimes a "soft" persuasion to break up the bridge is required to get the salt to settle down where the water will dissolve it.
I generaaly use a rubber mallet to lightly tap on the outside of the salt tank. If successful, you can hear the salt bridge break up and fall to the bottom and the salt above will start to settle also. Once the salt has settled and it is using the salt, then keep the reservoir full to keep other bridging from forming.
If you are unable to break up the bridge, then the unit may have to disconnected and harsher means used to break up the bridge.
I would recommend that a technician perform this task.

The salt light keeps burning

the salt light is done by a reed switch operated by a float in the salty water. float may be stuck - give softener (where you put in the salt) a tap and also stir the water inside the softener. i assume you have put in enough salt. its not a serious fault
