I have a 2004 E320. After playing the CD system for extended hours, the radio system goes off. I tried severally to re-power it but it stays off until sometime passes. This has happened several times

Radio keeps seizing when it gets hot

SOURCE: radio audio muted and cd changer gives message no cd changer c320

Hi, Joe here to help. The cd changer is at fault. You need to replace the changer. The system is on a fiber optic loop which cuts out the sound if can not complete that loop.

SOURCE: MBZ E320 CDI (2003), The CD, Radio and navigation system not work

Your radio/nav system needs a code. Go the your dealer's parts department , give them the VIN of your car( should be free $0). Punch in the code through the car radio and your radio/nav system should work right away.

you have to replace door lock completely , there is small plastic gear on electric motor which moves locking mechanism and seems that gear is broken, but it is not available as separate part.

My Radio in my E 320 2004 stop playing. what could be the problem?

if it is not powering on, then it is most likely a fuse. check your fuse box for a burnt looking fuse. new fuses are cheap and easily found at autozone, oreilleys, walmart etc...

The player will not eject the cd but it will not play it either.

I know it sound crazy, but turn the system on, press eject while using a PLASTIC knife to lift the CD in the player. If the system is stock also try disconnecting the radio fuse for about 10 minutes or so with the car off. Reconnect it to see if the radio resets. You'll know the power completely went out because you'll have to reset your stations. By Resetting, hopefully the issue will solve itself. In a few of the system issues I've seen, when the motor won't open the faceplate, or the CD player won't give the CD back. I usually remove the faceplate or disconnect the negative side of the battery for about ten minutes. Try this if the fuse removal doesn't work. Good look. Let me know how it goes. there are other things to try.

No CD Changer display

This system is very complicated and unfortunatly you need a scan tool and a d2b ring tester unless you are very familiar with the fibre optic ring set up for this vehicle. most likley your c.d. player is defective-is their also a phone and do you have sound from the speakers when operating normal radio function

Cd player comes up with err message

Oh, i had this problem several times... look, the best answer that i can give you is to buy a new one, there's sony's cd-players that are great, me and my father have. now, if you want to stay with this cd player just insert the cd several times until it will play. but again, you better buy a different one.
