When i try to use webcam i get a message 'web cam not connected". what shd i for this?

Hi Varsha,
Make sure you have the Drivers and Software installed for the webcam. Go to the Lenovo site and grab the drivers from there, or if it's an external webcam, go to the manufactures site and get them from there.

Hope this helps!
Thanks!

In my lenovo ideapad u 160 easy capture camera is not functioning.

webcams do go bad. In my experience when a webcam stops functioning in one way, shape, or form it's usually the actual webcam that's faulty.

Welcome to fix ya

It seems that the webcam is not detected by the operating system. It could be cause by a defective camera or if the webcam is turned off. To enable the camera on a U450P press FN+ESC on your keyboard. Also dont forget to install the lenovo easy camera software. You can download it here

Can not use integrated camera with ideapad

Hi,

I think try to turn on first the webcam by pressing fn+esc you will have an indicator on the lower right side of the display if its on or off. After you turn on the webcam use the program for the webcam or try to download it from lenovo website.

My integrated camera is not installed. This happened after i reloaded my windows software pls help

Welcome to Fixya

Try installing the driver of your webcam first. You can check also if the webcam is being detected by the system. Go to control panel then click system icon. Go to hardware and click device manager. The webcam should be listed under imaging device. If there is no imaging device, try pressing Fn key then tap Esc key once. This will enable/disable the webcam of the computer.

Lenovo? Oh, it must be having face recognition, right? Maybe your inbuilt webcam is continuously being used by the biometric software.
