Leave the battery door open!
Unless you open up the casing and dry out the camera as soon as possible the chances are that the camera will die.
Salt water will start to corrode the circuit board and get into the lens. It may start to work after a while but will fail soon.
If you are unable to open the camera try this as apossible solution, although I don't really recomend it. Use a hairdryer on a low heat and blow into the battery compartment ( it's the only opening if you can't actually open the case) the hot air should circulate through the camera and speed up the drying. If you can get it to power up - keep the lens moving with the zoom to keep it free.

My camera fell in sea water

My sympathies. If you immediately fished the camera out, removed the battery, rinsed it in fresh water, and let it dry thoroughly before even thinking about putting the battery back in and seeing whether it turns on again, then you MIGHT be able to salvage the camera. Otherwise it's time for a new camera.

The pictures on your memory card should be okay. Just rinse the card in fresh water and let it dry before trying to read the card.

Take out anything that isn't attached to the phone (memory card, sim card, battery, etc). Submerge everything in an uncovered bowl of dry rice. Leave it for at least 24 hours (36 if you can wait). The water damage indicators are located at one end of the battery and on the back of the phone underneath the cover. If they're pink they're toast. Wait for the 24 hours before trying to turn it back on, sometimes people get lucky.

Good luck!

My water softener emptied im not sure how long it was empty for but I dont think it was too long I filled it with salt and now it doesnt work. It still regenerates but im getting hard water still any...

Do you mean the salt tank was empty? If so fill salt tank half way wait about 6 hrs for brine to develop. Manually regenerate softener 2x within 24 hrs. When the salt runs out the resin becomes saturated with hardness minerals. It takes at least 2 regeneration cycles back to back to completely restore soft water. Also the hot water will take some time to get soft. It will help to flush water heater after cold water is consistently soft.
I hope this helps,

Droped the cellphone in water

Did you dry the phone and battery completely? If not here is the procedure to take out all moisture trapped in the phone: Dry the phone, battery, sim card and any accessory, etc. with cloth and wrap each piece, phone and accessories, in newspaper. Place a few handfuls of rice into a plastic bag and then place the wrapped phone in the bag with rice. The newspaper wrapping avoids direct contact of rice with your phone because the dust from the rice can get into the small areas of the phone. The newspaper and rice will absorb moisture. Leave it there (with the bag open) at least 24 hrs.

My NOKIA cell phone was accidentally washed in the washing machine. Can it be salvaged?

Hi,

In a case like this the phone most probably wont be able to be salvaged. The only thing you can try is to remove the battery, and back cover and soak the phone in a bowl of dry rice. Leave it there for 24 hrs and then try turning the phone on. But if the water damage is too extensive then you need to replace your phone.

Hope this helps,
Joe

Sir, i have a problem with my nokia

The only chance of getting it to work, is to remove the battery cover and remove battery, wipe any moisture out you can see. Now take the phone and parts into a warm room, leave for 24 hrs , so we can remove most of the moisture.

That is it your last chance.
Hope i`ve helped, fingers crossed.

Water damage LG Shine

This may sound crazy, but it has worked for every phone me or my friends have had water damage to.
Take the phone apart as far as you can go (like take off the silver plate backing and take out the battery, and simcard) and place it on a dry rag and put it in the oven. Then heat the oven to its lowest setting. My oven can go as low as 175 degrees, so what I did was to open the top a little bit to let the heat out. Believe it or not, this heat shouldn't ruin the phone, but only dry up the water that is blocking the circuits. Be very careful though. The ideal temperature is about 125 degrees.
Considering water boils at 212 degrees, it SHOULD take more heat than than to actually damage your phone. Leave it in the oven, turned off, for 24 hours or longer. Give it some time... be patient. Then try turning it back on. It has worked for me and my friends, as of now we are 5/5.
Good luck.

I accidentally drop a water the keypad is not functioning after 20min or less.HELPPPPPPPPPPP!!!!!!!!!!!!

It may be no good, but try this.

Remove the battery NOW and place a vacuum as close to the open back of the phone for 10-20 minutes. Repeat for 10 minutes on the front. Put the open phone into a bowl of rice (uncooked of course). Leave it overnight or even 24 hours. Reinstall the battery and recharge the phone.

Don't try to return it to the store as defective. Most phones have a wetness detector inside. They know when it has been soaked.
