Question about GE Deluxe AGM12AB Air Conditioner

Open Question

I have a 2005 Dodge ram, the air conditioner light started blinking and the air coming out of the vents became warm. After playing with the knobs several times the air became cold again but the light is still blinking? Any suggestions?

SOURCE: freezer is cold, but the fridge is warm. where

The fan in the freezer is probably not running. It's in the freezer on the back wall. You should be able to hear it running when the compressor is running. It will stop with the door open so you'll have to hold the door switch down.
OR
Below the evaporator fan is the evaporator coils. Remove the back cover in the freezer to observe the frost pattern. Light frost everywhere(NORMAL) or a partial pattern of ice(LOW ON FREON) or nothing(LOW FREON OR COMPRESSOR PROBLEM).
If it's iced up really heavy you have an auto defrost problem. Melt the ice with a hairdryer and check the defrost system.

This diagram shows your evaporator and fan but the location is not clear. The evaporator is near the bottom behind the rear cover inside the freezer and the fan is usually at the top where the vent is.

I am trying to figure out which fuse operates the back lights for the Air Conditioner control knobs on a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500. (4.7 engine)

If the dash lights are working and the other controls light up then your problem is the bulbs need replacing, remove the controls and in the rear you will see where the bulbs go,remove the small socket and install new bulb. hope this helps.

01 dodge 2500 v8. Air conditioner started out strong, blowing cold air..temporarily would start blowing warm and then back to ice cold...Noticed when stopping and turning corners a hissing noise coming...

Hi. Have your car aircon evaporator cleaned. Check also the drain hose. All water should go out of the car through the drain hose. There might be something clogging up the hose that is why water will run out the floor and that causes also the aircon to work intermittently.

Have a good one!

Started out with cold air coming out the vents

I'm no 'expert' but it sounds like possibly 2 different problems. Your heat comes from warm/hot coolant circulating through the heater core, and the fan blowing air through/over it. If your thermostat is not opening the coolant won't circulate. Thermostat is a not too difficult or costly starting place. No air flow leads me to think you have a blower motor issue, perhaps start with the fuse. Hope this helps.

There is a recall that has something to do with the air/heat system in 2005 Dodge Grand caravans. Recall F01. Here is a link. I had mine done two weeks ago, cost me nothing. My air conditioner was overheating.

With ac running cold, blows warm when truck is stopped

I have a dodge 2007 ram 1500...most likely its an RPM issue. The compressor requires a certain RPM to maintain the required pressurized vapor.

Air conditioner turns on when car starts.

If only the AC indicator light is on but you are still getting warm air from the vents, this is not an issue.  Most newer cars run the AC compressor nearly all the time to prevent moisture accumulation inside the car.  Without the compressor running, your windows may steam up and hinder your visibility.
